* * * * * * * * “Status Animarum,” 2018 - 2019

Each year, our Archdiocese requests the pastor of each parish account for the status of the souls in his care [“cura animarum”)—a type of “parish snapshot.” You may know, as co-workers with their (arch)bishop, pastors are entrusted with the education, sanctification and governance of God’s People. Earlier this month we sent “Status” form to the Chancery Office. A summary follows:

In Tribute to Our Assistant Pastors

The magnificent, six-foot, German-made, bronze sculpture of Jesus, mounted at the center of the organ gallery, lovingly “watches over” our Faith Community. Last year, it was dedicated by our pastor as a permanent tribute to all the many, fine ASSIGNED, RESIDENT and VISITING PRIESTS, who have worked alongside the eleven Holy Trinity pastors over the past 121 years. At the present time, we thank Father Gary Mead, Father Stephen Koeth, Father Joseph Koterski, Father Patrick Ryan and Father D’Angelo Jimenez for their unstinting priestly service, and their many personal sacrifices for the growth, strength and resiliency of the Holy Trinity parish!

* * * * * * * * The Pastoral staff will meet for a dinner meeting with selected representatives of parishioners at 5:00 PM TONIGHT at Arte Cafe on 73rd Street off Columbus Avenue. We will review the early part of the upcoming Liturgical Year.
