Therearesevenmajormusicensembles:ConcertOrchestra,JazzEnsemble,ConcertBand,SymphonicBand,ConcertChorusandtheJazzSingers.Inaddition,ourextra‐curricularinstrumentalperformancegroupsareMarchingBandduringthefallseasonandPitOrchestrafortheSpringMusical.LastspringthePBHSMusicDepartmenttookFirstPlacein7categoriesattheAtlantaMusicFestival.Inadditionahighlycovetedandnotalwaysawarded,“EspritdeCorps”trophywasgiventoPaintBranchfortheiroutstandingcitizenshipandcharacter.BothourinstrumentalandvocalmusicprogramsconsistentlyearnthehighestmarksobtainableinMCPSandStatecompetitions.OurOrchestrahascompetedintheMarylandStateOrchestracompetition.TheJazzSingers,theshowchoir,isknownforitsshowstoppingperformances.WealsoofferGuitar,PianoandWorldDrummingatPB.TheWinterMusicConcertisThursday,December11,2014at7:00.
