Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hjh. Aini Jaapar PhD (Value Management), MSc .ICPM, BSc Hon. QS, Dip. Bldg, FIVMM, MCIOB.

Aini Jaapar is currently an Associate Professor at the Centre of Studies for Quantity

Surveying, Faculty of Architecture, Planning & Surveying, Universiti Teknologi MARA

(UiTM) Shah Alam, Malaysia. She is one of the founding members (M002) and a Fellow

(F003) of Institute of Value Management Malaysia (IVMM). She is also a Member (1465596)

of The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) UK. Her PhD was in Value Management

(VM) and in 2006, she produced the Prototype Guidelines of VM Application for the

Malaysian Construction Industry to encourage further application of VM methodology in a

consistent manner. She is active in contributing her expertise in quantity surveying and VM

fields with the Examination Board for Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM).

Currently, she actively supervising and co-supervising a number of PhD (AP990, AP991,

BM 990, BM901@ UiTM; BHA@Universiti Malaya) candidates, MSc by research (AP780)

and MSc by coursework students (AP776 & AP779). Her area of research interest is not

limited to the Built Environment (value management, construction management, facilities

management, retrofitting, PFI and project management) but also transportation

management as well as HRM, Merger and Acquisition.

She has authored, co-authored, published and presented many papers on Value

Management as well as the stated areas of construction management and organisation

management as a result of her active research involvement in her area of interests.
