Just think of those less fortunate...and pick up one extra item while shopping. The fruit of the Spirit is love,....generosity..(Galaans 5:22) St Christophers Habitat for Humanity Team! Habitat has started a home build in Centreville! St Christophers is now signed up for 14 OCT to assist another team....if you are interested, please contact Dick Moore, [email protected] . This Weeks Second Collection: Building & Maintenance Fund The Building & Maintenance Fund is used for the mortgage on the Priests Residence and for building up the emergency fund for our aging facilities. We thank you for your contin- ued support. New Parish Directory This will be your last oppor- tunity to have your photo taken to be included in the Directory. Each family will receive a free 8 x 10 portrait and a free copy of the Directory! You will also have the opportunity to purchase additional por- traits, if desired. ALSO, if you already had your portrait taken during our photo shoots over the summer, your portraits are in! You may pick them up after masses at the table where appoint- ments are being scheduled. Thank you for your participation! Our 2nd Annual Vocations Assembly will be held on Wednesday, October 4th from 6:45-7:45PM All 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade students are invited to join us for an evening of fun and learning all about Religious Vocations. We will have special guest speakers from both our Di- ocesan Vocations Office in Wilmington, DE as well as Religious Sisters from the Institute Servants of the Lord, located out- side of Washington, DC. First Communion Time Preference Sign -up Attention all First Communion Parents- you can now sign-up for your time preference for First Holy Communion online. This year First Communion will be held on Saturday, May 5th at 10 AM and 1 PM. If you have any questions please con- tact Katie Sukley. First Communion Banner Kits If you missed the First Communion Parent Meeting, please stop by the Reli- gious Ed Office to pick up the information that you missed along with your First Communion Banner kit. Bishop Barron is on a new journey to unlock the truth behind the Catholic Church's most influential peo- ple. Catholicism: The Pivotal Players is a multi-part film se- ries that illumines a handful of saints, artists, mystics, and scholars who not only shaped the life of the Church but changed the course of civilization. Join us Thursday nights from 7-8:30pm in the parish hall beginning October 12th for this FREE 6 week study.

Beginning this month, new requests for prayers for the sick will be published for one month; after that time, their names will be added to our “Prayers for the Sick” book which will be on the altar. Please be assured that the Parish continues to pray for all who are sick.

REMEMBER- Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14 The Children's Liturgy of the Word meets on Sundays during 9 am Mass.

SUNDAY CAFÉ: Coffee, Donuts, Fellowship and Wi-Fi

The Sunday Café is back! The times for the Café are 7am to 11:00 am . There's always room for you to help! We welcome teams of 3 or 4 to cover a shift or the entire morning, or you can volunteer individually. No experience is necessary. Confirmation students and older are encouraged. Christian Meditation Meditation is an acceptable practice in developing a life of prayer. Join us on Friday mornings from 9-10 in the Parish Office Prayer Room. We are consider-

Altar Server Training We are looking for interested boys and girls in the 4th grade and older who would like to become Al-tar Servers. This is a wonderful way to show your faith in action. We have 2 options for trainings in October: October 8th 12:30pm
