Post-Abortion Healing: Project Rachel Baltimore is the church’s ministry which operates as a network of professional clergy, licensed counselors and volunteers all trained to provide one-on-one spiritual and psychological support for those who are suffering from the trauma of abortion. Project Rachel Baltimore offers special Rachel’s Vineyard weekend retreats and Come to the Waters day retreats several times a year. Rachel’s Vineyard is the world’s largest ministry for healing after abortion. Physician Assisted Suicide: Legislation has been introduced in the Maryland General Assembly for the past two years that would allow doctors to legally prescribe a lethal dose of drugs to a patient who is deemed mentally competent and who has received a terminal diagnosis. The legislation, referred to by its proponents as “death with dignity” is unnecessary, flawed, and lacks safeguards. A broad coalition of disability advocates, members of the medical community, patient advocates, and religious organizations, known as “Maryland Against Physician Assisted Suicide,” has formed to fight this bill. The coalition is continually growing and we urge you to join the effort to defeat this dangerous bill. Call to Action: Contact your legislators by visiting: Maryland Against Physician Assisted Suicide at www.StopAssistedSuicideMD.org. *****************************************************************************************
