Cabinet has appointed Sue Tindal Infracomrsquos Deputy Chair Ms Tindal will focus on assistingInfracom to connect with the local government sector and other regional stakeholders Minister forInfrastructure Hon Shane Jones commended her for her hard work to date including as Chair ofInfracomrsquos Audit and Risk Committee Ms Tindal is an experienced banker and Chief Financial Officer and Independent Director withextensive knowledge of domestic and global markets including structuring large multi-currencyinfrastructure financing programmes She has proven experience in government financialservices technology energy transport and logistics sectors across both regulated and non-regulated environments Ms Tindal has led and delivered large infrastructure and technologyprojects in New Zealand Australia and Asia

In New Zealand we expect our drinking water to be healthy and safe and our wastewater to betreated and discharged back to the environment in as clean and pure a state as possible Weprefer not to think too hard about how this happens ndash we just want it all to work well Howeverunfortunately this is not always the reality Chief Executive Jon Grayson discusses the issuesaround three waters reform in this recently published opinion piece

Free courses andtraining for constructionworkInfracom welcomes the Governmentrsquos recent decision to offer free courses and training inconstruction primary industries and community work for the next two-and-a-half years With ourborders restricted for the foreseeable future it will be challenging to import sufficient skilledworkers from overseas to assist in post-COVID recovery ndash plus this initiative will create muchneeded employment opportunities for young New Zealanders Read more in this news article
