Orlando International Airport VATSIM Cross the Pond Eastbound 2017 Briefing Orlando International Airport is a major public airport located six miles (10 km) southeast of Orlando, Florida, United States. It is the second-busiest airport in the state of Florida, as over 40.2 million passengers were handled at the airport as of 2015. This makes it the 14th- busiest airport in the U.S. by total passenger traffic, and the perfect airport to handle a departure field for Cross the Pond. Welcome to the Jacksonville ARTCC. Hosting our first departure for Cross the Pond, we are excited to provide the exceptional services always demonstrated on the network, to provide a fun and enjoyable event! This document outlies the Orlando Airport briefing, to provide the pilots with a greater understanding of airfield operations, and what to expect on the day. We hope you enjoy flying the event, as much as we will, handling the departures! Chris LaSalle Matt Bozwood-Davies Andrew Sterling Air Traffic Manager Deputy Air Traffic Manager Events Coordinator
