Definite and Indefinite Articles
INDEFINITE ARTICLE There are three singular indefinite articles in English - a, an, one - the equivalent of two Spanish forms (a, an).
In English and Spanish, the indefinite article refers to an unspecified thing.
THE DEFINITE ARTICLE
The definite article is much less common in English than in Spanish. In addition, there is only one English word, the, the equivalent of All Forms Spanish (el, la, los, las).
In English, the definite article is used only when you want to specify a noun or noun group in particular.
