We had a great Thanksgiving Feast before we sent the children off for Thanksgiving break! We would like to say thank you to those who helped serve and prepare food for our preschool families. Sr. Adult Ministry

On Sunday, Dec. 9th, the Sr. Adult Ministry will collect

toys for Southside Fire Department. The gift will not need to be wrapped. Gifts will be given to the Southside Fire Department for distribution within the Southside community. Bring toys to Commons and place under large tree.

National Portland, Maine, is a very old, historic and beautiful town. The people there do not have a Bible Belt foundation. Most people are open to spiritual conversations, just not open to the idea that Jesus is the only way. They feel that they have progressed or moved on from the religion of their grandparents to something better. Most church buildings are either Catholic, other non-evangelical groups or not actually churches anymore. Ben and Jessica Thornton planted the church in Maine. They have a core group of young people who have moved from the South to work with them. The team is working to build relationships with neighbors, co-workers and through community groups. They plan events like Friendsgiving, Christmas celebrations and Egg Hunts to reach people. When teams like ours come they are able to help with narrative mapping, prayer walking, helping to host events and community projects. You can help by praying. Pray that a Christian community can be established, that people will find strength and hope in Christ. Pray for encouragement for Ben, Jessica and the core group serving there. You can help by going! Plan now to go in 2019.

Christmas Card Drop Off Drop your cards off in Commons Area, Small Groups Office, near the bottom of the slide. Your Christmas cards will be delivered in house. Use the money saved to give to the Christmas missions offering.
