1 Safety noticeOnly trained and authorized operators may assemble coning and threading tools and use them. High pressure systems require precise processing of coning and threading. Following closely the instructions contained in this manual is essential to assure proper functioning and safety of high pressure connections.
2 Additional instructionsTransfer Oil Coning and Threading Tools are used exclusively in the final processing of MP and HP tubing. The coning cutters must be changed for different tubing diameters and different pressure rating. The Collet and Threading Tools for the 60,000 psi and 20,000 psi series are identical.

4 — MR332 TRANSFER OIL
MP and HP Tube Coning
The coning tool offers interchangeable collets and cutters for 1/4" - 3/8" - 9/16" tubing size. It works keeping the tubing turning on his axis for a perfect cone. The integrated vise arm allows an easy installation, a free access to the clamp nut, and an unobstructed use of the handle. The coning blade is designed to square-off and finish the end of the tubing when the cone is completed. Sight windows allow easy application of lubricants, fast cleaning of metal chips and a clear view on the reaching of the groove end.
1Select the diameter of the tubing and prepare the related collet and cutter
2 Cut the tubing
3Completely deburr the inside of the tubing
CONING TOOL - INSTRUCTIONS
MR332 — 5TRANSFER OIL
4Tighten the tool in a bench vise by the apposite plate
5Be sure to keep the crank handle and the ratchet wrench free to rotate on their axis
6Unscrew the tool head driving counter clockwise the rotation with the ratchet wrench
7
Insert the proper collet for the tubing you intend to cone in the the cavity on the inside of the tool head, then place the tool head back in position with just a few turns
8
Insert the tubing up to the point it covers at least half the length of the sight window then tight the grip rotating the ratchet wrench clockwise
6 — MR332 TRANSFER OIL
9Rotate the tool adjustment grip counter clockwise, disassembling it, to access the cutting blade seat
10
Keeping the crank handle on the bottom side, to avoid dropping washers and bearings, dismount the dummy shaft (or a previously mounted blade) by rotating counter clockwise the grub screw
11Tight the cutting tool in position rotating the grub screw clockwise
12
Mount all the block back by rotating clockwise the adjustment grip to the point the cutting blade is just in con-tact with the tubing
13Make sure not to push the blade on the tubing at any time to avoid damages
MR332 — 7TRANSFER OIL
14
Remember to add an adequate amount of lubricant before operating the tool and keep adding it frequently during the cutting operation
15
Turn the crank handle clockwise in a steady and continuous motion while simultaneously regulating the adjustment grip to keep the blade in contact with the forming cone. Keep the access window clear from metal chips using compressed air
16
Once the forming cone reaches the groove at the bottom of the blade stop operating the adjustment grip and keep turning the crank handle several times to finish the cone surfaces properly
17
Retract the cutting blade with the adjustment grip, and free the tubing rotating the ratchet wrench counter clockwise
Repeat 6) and 10) to pack away the collet and the cutting blade making sure to clean properly the relative seatingsWARNING:Keep the tool clean and clear from metal chips using compressed air both during the operation and after finishing
WARNING:Remember to always use lubricant during the operations to avoid damages to the coning blades.
8 — MR332 TRANSFER OIL
1Tight the coned tubing rotating the ratchet wrench clockwise
2
Insert the threading tool on the coned edge of the tubing. Make sure to insert the threading head as indicated in the image
3
Start turning the threading tool counter clockwise in a steady and soft motion. Remember to add an adequate amount of lubricant before operating the tool and keep adding it frequently during the threading operation
4
Keep threading the tubing until the desired thread length is reached. Refer to the table page 9 for suggested thread lengths
THREADING TOOL - INSTRUCTIONS
The threading tool is designed to mill a left hand thread on tubing with an outer diameter up to 9/16’’ (14,3 mm). Sturdy and long lasting the threading tool allows onsite preparation of medium and high pressure installations in a quick and effective way.

It’s a true story of courage and entrepreneurship, the one beginning not far from Parma in Italy in 1979. Since then Transfer Oil has produced reinforced thermoplastic hoses with direct product design capability that still today represents its main added value.
Now Transfer Oil ranks among the most important manufacturers of thermoplastic hose in the world serving more than 75 countries with direct branches and authorized dealers.
With pressures from 20 to 4.000 bar (290 to 58k psi), Transfer Oil hoses fits various applications ranging from hydraulic systems, gas and fluid handling up to refrigeration and, by adding the new line of steel valves fittings and tubing, Transfer Oil can now supply a complete UHP system.
Helping customers effectively to use thermoplastic hoses to improve the performance of their industrial and mobile equipment, in a nutshell, Pure Fluid Attitude.
