GRADE REPORTS
Grade Prep 1A & 2B: Spring has officially sprung! This week we have all ‘BEAN’ really excited to see our bean seeds starting to open up. We have kept a very close eye on them each day, ensuring they get enough water and taking them outside to soak up that warm sunshine. With Father’s Day just around the corner, we have been writing about our dads and the other special people in our lives. During Maths this week, Grade Two have been very engaged in a variety of addition and subtraction games, while we also took another look at rounding numbers. The grade Prep/Ones have worked hard on addition, counting on, partitioning and subitising. It was fantastic to see so many families come in for the Father’s Day Breakfast this morning! We were all very excited to share our Book Week stories with our parents and grandparents. Looking forward to another great week and hopefully the start of some warmer weather.
Grade 3C & 4D: On Wednesday, Grade 3 and 4 went to Interschool Athletics at Vic Park. It was nerve wracking. We had to compete against 7 different schools. We competed in long jump, triple jump, high jump, sprints, long distance, shotput, discus, loop relay and circle relay. We came 6th in the loop relay for the girls and the boys came
last. Lots of ribbons were won. On Thursday we went to Echuca South Primary School! We had three groups and three activities. The first one was games in their gym. The second activity was a craft. Finally, we played with their robots! We had lunch there also which was a yummy sausage in bread! We had a great time and at the end they gave us a lollipop to end the day. Money matters has been the focus in Math for both grades—giving change, adding amounts, rounding off and giving correct coin and notes. Grade 4 are planning their arguments for next Friday’s debating day. Happy Father’s Day to all. We had a great turn out for breakfast this morning. Enjoy your day on Sunday. Camp notes have all gone out and excitement is building for this great adventure.
Disposable named cameras are optional for Grade 3 and 4 students to take on camp.
Grade 5E: Wow! Cool! We had an awesome week this week in Grade Five.
Every one enjoyed doing P.E on Thursday, we did different types of skills and flexibility tests. It was fun. We have been learning about long division and symmetry in Maths. We have been learning about fact and opinion in Literacy. Facts are something that has been proven and an opinion is what someone thinks about something. We have started a marketing strategy for our product in Think It, Make It, Market It. My product is a vending machine and I have designed a mascot to sell it. The Father’s Day breakfast was a success with lots of yummy egg and bacon sandwiches eaten.

Grade 6F: This week we had Interschool Athletics. We competed against all the Echuca Schools, as well as Lockington, Rochester, Moama and many others. Overall Rochester won the Interschool Athletics. On Friday we had our Echuca West PS Father’s Day Breakfast. All the children sang a ‘Father’s Day’ song and the duck song. The bacon and egg brekky was delicious. By Jacob and Max.
