Making a field sketch during the STEAM Institute: Illustrated Botanical Books, a K-12 professional development course. Peer teaching (6 th -2 nd graders) and data collection in school district classrooms. Teacher and student build a birch tree model using one of the teaching kits developed by the FNSBSD Art Center.
