PRODUCT DESCRIPTION This document provides information about the G-NAF datasets produced by OMNILINK Pty Limited. Please refer to the G-NAF Product Description.pdf, G-NAF Release Report August 2018.pdf and Administrative Boundaries Product Description.pdf (accompanying this document) for detailed information about the base PSMA products.

Extents and date of datasets

Based on the latest data received from PSMA, datasets were produced for these States and Territories as described on pages 7 & 8 of the G-NAF Product Description:

State or Territory Name Abbreviation

New South Wales NSW

Victoria VIC

Queensland QLD

South Australia SA

West Australia WA

Tasmania TAS

Northern Territory NT

Australian Capital Territory ACT

Other Territories OT

File formats provided for each dataset:

• MAPINFO .tab

• ESRI .shp & gdb (File Geodatabase)

• .csv

File size limitations of datasets

Some datasets need to be split due to the 2GB limit for DBF files. Datasets supplied in shp, tab and csv have been split for NSW, VIC, QLD and WA. The split is roughly into Metro and Non-Metro areas based on LGA boundaries. For NSW, VIC and QLD the Metro areas are supplied into two file sets and for NSW the Non-Metro area is also supplied into two file sets.

As the file size limit for gdb is very large there is no need to split these datasets, the whole of the state or territory is supplied in one file set.

See the Tables below for details of LGAs included in Metro and Non-Metro Areas.

Tables delivered for each State/Territory:

1. STREET_LOCALITY_GEOCODE

2. LOCALITY_GEOCODE

3. ADDRESS_DETAILS

Please see the table structures given on the following pages. For convenience, this key table of column headings has been reproduced from page 31 of the G-NAF Product Description:

Column Abbreviation Description Name Name The name of the column in the Integrated Database

Data Type Data type The Oracle data type of the column. Mapinfo TAB files have similar data types.

Description Description A description of the column and what the expected contents are

Primary Key? Prim Key If 'Y' then this column must always have a unique value. (has # entry in the data model tables)

Obligation Man Y = mandatory. If 'Y' (mandatory), this column is populated with data. That is, all ACTIVE records must have values in this column.

Foreign Key Table F K TABLE Represents a column in the 'Foreign Key Table' that this column is referred to by another table. (has * entry in the data model tables)

Foreign Key Column F K Col Represents a table in the Integrated Database that this column is referred to.

10 Character Alias 10 Char Alias An alias for this column name - up to 10 characters maximum. Used to define the name of the column when in ESRI Shapefile format.

Highlights and Issues:

From August 2017 the gnaf_street_confidence field in STREET_LOCALITY_GEOCODE has been changed to number(5) in the MAPINFO tab file and Shape file data. This allows for numbers like -1 and Nulls (-9999) to be included in the data set.

The ADDRESS_MESH_BLOCK_2016 were made available in the August 2016 PSMA GNAF dataset as a separate attribute table. The meshblock 2016 attributes have been integrated into OMNILINK G-NAF since the November 2016 release. Three new fields were added to the ADDRESS_DETAILS table. They are mb_code_2016, mb_cat_cd_2016 and sa1_2016_7dig_code. (See below for complete details)
