Next weekend, July 22nd and 23rd we will hold our monthly food collection. This invitation goes out to eve-ryone. This month the food will be collected for our own parishioners who are in need. Your donations must be non-perishable food items.

The following items are very useful: cereal, oatmeal, pasta and sauce, canned meats, canned vegeta-bles, soups, tuna fish, white rice, beans, canned milk or packaged milk, peanut butter, jelly, juice and canned fruits.

PARA EL CONOCIMIENTO DE LA COMUNIDAD

Essex Regional Educational Services Commission, ha finalizado su contrato con la parroquia del uso de la Escuela el 30 de Junio. Ante la posibilidad de que no se iba a renovar el contrato logramos firmar un nuevo contrato con Passaic Arts and Science Charter School por los siguientes cinco años más.

Ellos estan renovando parte de las aulas debido a que la cantidad de alumnos que esperan supera los 350. Ellos asumen también cocina de la cafetería, debido a que la cafetería de la escuela la van a convertir en tres aulas, entonces se perdería ese lugar.

El comedor escolar será el auditorio, mientras se utilizará la cocina de la cafetería para prepararles los alimentos a los estudiantes. Es por ello que no volveremos a alquilar el auditorio. Por el momento la cafetería no será alquilada debido a que tenemos que hacer un reacomodo de todos los utensilios que hemos movido de la cocina nuestra.

La parroquia no tendrá problemas para utilizar las instalaciones de la escuela para el programa de Educación, como tampoco tendremos problemas para utilizar el parqueo de la parte de atrás de la iglesia, y la escuela tendrá la entrada principal por el frente de la escuela y no se utilizará en la entrada por la parte de atrás de la escuela.

FOR THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE COMMUNITY

The Essex Regional Educational Services Commission finalized their contract with the parish, for the use of the school, on June 30. With the possibility that the contract would not be renewed, we were able to sign a new contract with Passaic Arts and Science Charter School for the next five years.

They are renovating part of the classrooms because the number of students they ex-pect exceeds 350. They will also be using the kitchen in the cafeteria, because the school cafeteria will be converted into three classrooms, and they will be losing that space.

The school dining room will be the auditorium, while the cafeteria kitchen will be used to prepare food for students. That is why we will no longer be renting the audi-torium. At the moment the cafeteria will not be rented either because we have to do a rearrangement of all the utensils we have moved from our kitchen.

The parish will have no problem utilizing the school's facilities for the Religious Edu-cation program, nor will we have trouble using the parking lot at the back of the church. The school will mainly use the main entrance at the front of the school and the entrance by the back of the school will not be used.
