Omega Seamaster 166.073 in stainless steel

Iconic Omega Seamaster reference 166.073. The watch has a round dark blue dial with big tritium luminous hour markers and luminous hands “Losange” type for the hour hand. At 12 o’clock comes the logo and Omega automatic and 6 o’clock Seamaster. The date is at 3 o’clock. The watch comes with a blue bezel graduated up to 60 with Arabic numerals for every 10 and arrow for 60. The back case is in stainless steel with engrave inside Acier inoxydable – Omega Watch Co. – Fab Suisse – Swiss Made – 166.073 and outside Certified High Pressure Waterproof – Seamaster. The crown is original with the Omega logo as well as the crystal. It is an automatic movement with caliber 565 (1966-1969), 24 jewels, quickset date, 19800 bph and 50 hours of power reserve. It has the number 307083… The watch comes with a NATO blue strap with genuine leather inside.

The story of Omega started in 1848 with Louis Brandt when he opened a “Comptoir d’etablissement” a sales office for sub-contracted watch manufacture. In 1880, the brothers Louis Paul and Cesar Brandt set-up a modern watch production unit. In 1889, the company had a production of 100,000 units per year. The name of Omega only appeared in 1903. Omega has developed amazing movements such as the “Labrador” in 1885. In 1917, Omega provided watches to the British army and in 1918 to the American army. In 1957, the speedmaster professional was born and then selected by the NASA in 1965 as the official timekeeper. Today, Omega continues to demonstrate mechanical innovation and remain one of the most prominent brands in the world of watchmakers.
