Day 3 Skopje - Ohrid, North Macedonia (approx. 170km)After breakfast, explore the city with your Tour Leader. In the afternoon travel to Ohrid on the shores of the UNESCO listed Lake Ohrid, on the border between Albania and North Macedonia. It is a small resort city on the hilly shores of Lake Ohrid with an atmospheric old quarter cascading down the steep streets, dotted with beautiful churches and topped by the ruins of a medieval castle. Traditional restaurants and lakeside cafes bring the cobblestone streets to life. Afterwards, relax with an hour cruise excursion to admire the beautiful surrounding landscape.

Day 4 Ohrid, North Macedonia - Tirana, Albania (approx. 130km)This morning head to Tirana, the capital city of Albania. Tirana is the heart and capital of Albania. Like all other European metropolises, this city is always bustling with movement and energy. With its clubs, bars, cafes, and taverns, Tirana is worth discovering at any time of the day or night.

Day 5 Tirana, Albania - Dubrovnik, Croatia - Neum, Bosnia & Herzegovina (approx. 270km)This morning continue to the spectacular old town of Dubrovnik. Upon arrival enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Take the opportunity to admire the UNESCO listed old town, the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’. Walk through the narrow streets of the Old Town, immersing yourself in the history and culture of this magnificent city. Day 6 Neum, Bosnia and Herzegovina - Split, Croatia - Arbanija (approx. 196km)After breakfast, continue your journey to Split on Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast. Enjoy the day at leisure enjoying its beaches and exploring the maze-like streets at its centre. See Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO site, erected by the Roman emperor in the 4th century (entrance not included). Split remains one of the Adriatic’s most vibrant port cities, stunningly wedged between mountains and sea. In the late afternoon reach Arbanija, a Croatian tourist village situated on the northern coast of Ciovo Island.

Day 7 Arbanija, Croatia - Plitvice Lakes - Rastoke (approx. 265km)Today, drive to Plitvice National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admire its 16 crystal-blue lakes cascading into 92 spectacular waterfalls. Walk on the wooden promenades providing magnificent views of the waters, where every turn leads to breathtaking scenery and yet another waterfall. Surrounded by dense woods, Plitvice Lake is a natural phenomenon of rare and unique beauty. Afterwards, enjoy a three hour guided tour. The tour includes walking, train riding and crossing the Kozjak lake by boat, all within a pristine natural environment.

Day 8 Rastoke, Croatia - Postojna, Slovenia - Ljubljana (approx. 260km)After breakfast depart for Ljubljana. On the way stop at Postonja, famous for its awe-inspiring Postojna Caves. Formed over thousands of years, tourists of all ages now flock to the caves to marvel at this Karst phenomenon (entrance not included).

Afterwards continue to the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana, one of Europe’s greenest and most liveable cities. Upon arrival enjoy time at leisure exploring the leafy banks of the emerald-green Ljubljanica River, which flows through the heart of the city lined with cafes. Enjoy the rest of the day free soak up the vibe at leisure. From the picturesque central open-air market to the Three Bridges, the Baroque Town Hall and Robba Fountain, there are plenty of sights to see.

Day 9 Ljubljana - Bled, Slovenia - Munich, Germany (approx. 400km)This morning depart for Munich, on the way stop in the small town of Bled in the Julian Alps of Slovenia. Resembling a setting out of a classic fairytale, it features immense natural beauty with mountains and forest surrounding an emerald glacial lake; an island lies in the middle of the lake, with a church steeple and its wishing bell. Bled, together with its surroundings, ranks among the most beautiful alpine resorts and is renowned for its mild climate and thermal lake water.

Enjoy a three hour guided tour, including a lake boat excursion and visit to Bled Castle (entrance included). Head to the old town where you will admire the imposing castle, located on

a high white cliff. Once you arrive at Lake Bled, you will reach the isle, which houses the Assumption of Mary Church (visitors frequently ring its bell for good luck). The church was built in 1465, but then rebuilt in the 17th century in a more Baroque style, maintaining the nave shape. In the late afternoon arrive in the Bavarian city of Munich.

Day 10 Munich City TourAfter breakfast, enjoy a three hour guided tour of Munich with a local guide. The tour starts from the Max Joseph Square, close to some of the city’s main attractions like: The Maximilian Strasse, Munich shopping Street with elegant shops and fine restaurants, the National Theatre, the Resindez - that was home of the Wittelsbacher Family and the Sankt Michael church. The tour will reach the Marienplatz, the heart of the city, a perfect spot to admire the Neues Rathaus (The New Town Hall) and Carillon (that plays music every day at 11am, 12pm and 5pm).

This afternoon, you may enjoy free time in Munich, join in the incredible Oktoberfest celebrations, or perhaps take an optional tour of the Oktoberfest Museum (approx. 3 hours).

Optional Activity: Oktoberfest Museum with a local guide: $65 per person The oldest mansion in Munich, whose history goes back to the year 1340. For centuries inhabited by citizens, traders and artisans, the listed building now houses a permanent exhibition of beer and the Oktoberfest, two important bavarian cultural assets. Day 11 Munich - OktoberfestThis morning be transferred to the city centre, choose to join the famous Oktoberfest or spend some time at leisure. Held annually, Oktoberfest is widely considered the world’s most popular beer festival. Its a 16 to 18-day folk festival, with more than six million people from around the world attending the event every year. Despite its name, the event actually begins in September. Featuring centuries of tradition, festival fun, costumes, folklore, shows and songs, it is an occasion every true beer lover should experience at least once in their lives.

Day 12 Munich - Hohenschwangau - Neuschwanstein Castle (approx. 100km)This morning enjoy a tour of the incredible Neuschwanstein Castle, a 9th-century Romanesque Revival palace on a rugged hill above the humble village of Hohenschwangau. The shy king had built the castle in order to keep away from the public eye and for all the coffer-depleting sums spent on it, the king spent just over 170 days in residence. Today Neuschwanstein is one of the most popular of all the palaces and castles in Europe. Every year 1.4 million people visit “the castle of the fairy-tale king”. In the summer around 6,000 visitors a day stream through rooms that were intended for a single inhabitant.

TOUR GUIDE VS. TOUR LEADER

Tour Guide: Often locals with intimate knowledge of an area, its culture, and history. Their role

entails providing commentary, routing the tour, and seeing that people have a good time. They are a licensed, qualified expert who supplies specific information on history, art, architecture and culture of the city/village/attraction in which he or she is guiding the tour. The guide meets the group at the required place and leaves the group at the end of the tour, they do not travel with the group.

Tour Leader: An experienced person tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of tours, as well as providing practical support to passengers throughout the whole trip. Their role primarily includes assisting with accommodation, transportation between locations, and communication with tour guides in each stop. A tour leader may provide general guidance around a city or village, and offer information on the place visited on the bus, however they are not required to have specific knowledge on art, architecture, or history. They are not allowed to provide a guided tour or commentary of a city/village/attraction once there and if caught doing so, can be fined.

Please note: Tour leaders/guides are not a standard inclusion in all travel offers. Tour leaders/guides will only be made available when particularly required to enhance the experience of the destination featured.

While we do not add frequent flyer member details to bookings, you can do this directly with the Airline once you have your flight information.

Passport Validity:

Customers are required to provide valid passport details either at the time of purchase, or no later than 45 days prior to departure date. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of the booking. In this instance customers will be responsible for any costs and fees incurred.

COACH TOUR

Meals:11 meals are included in the tour, for all other meals; lunches and dinners the tour leader (when available) will offer assistance with reservations, suggestions and directions to local restaurants. It is your responsibility to notify TripADeal of any dietary requests/requirements. Please note; we will do our best to meet your requests/requirements, however cannot guarantee that we will always be able to.

Luggage:

You will be responsible for all your personal belongings whilst on the tour. With regards to luggage, you must carry your own luggage from the coach to the hotel room and back to the coach. The driver will assist with the uploading and off-loading of the luggage from the coach.

OTHER

Fitness Level Required / Mobility:Our vehicles are not equipped with wheelchair access, so unfortunately our tours are currently not suitable for wheelchair users and those less mobile.

Please note: a general level of fitness will be required. If you have any concerns please consult your healthcare provider prior to purchase/travel.

Gratuities / Tipping:Land

- Gratuities (tips) are not included in the tour price for services of the tour leader (when available) and driver throughout the tour. The recommended tip is €5 per person per day this covers the guide/leader and the driver, which will be collected whilst on tour.

- Tipping for all services provided on tour is always a matter of personal discretion, however please be aware that tipping is considered by many locals to be a part of their normal remuneration and they may approach you for payment and there is no need to be intimidated by the request.

Sightseeing:Please note: In the event entrance to a site is affected by changes in operating hours or public holiday closures, your itinerary will be adjusted to ensure you do not miss out on the experience.

Shopping:Shopping overseas can be a daunting and confusing experience, especially when there is a language barrier. Please be very cautious when foreign currencies

and prices are involved. If paying by credit card, please pay close attention to the amount you are being charged and keep all of your receipts.

Do not make any purchases you are not comfortable with or feel pressured into. If you are uncertain or need assistance with the language barrier, please seek assistance from your Tour Guide/Leader.

VISASA tourist visa for Europe is not required for stays up to 90 days if travelling on an Australian passport.

Please note: Passengers who are not Australian citizens must check with the respective consulate or visa agency to determine what their visa requirements are and what personal identification is required. It is also important to note, some areas of employment such as journalism, government authorities and charity organisations may have additional restrictions in applying for Visas. This may in turn affect the type of application required.
