1. Using watercolor paper,lightly sketch the still life.

2. Again, lightly sketch patterns in all areas.

3. Cover white areas with a maskoid.

Watercolor Info

• There is no white paint used in watercolor to mix colors. The paper itself is used for white. If you are going

to use white in your painting, use a blocking liquid, such as maskoid. Preplan for white.

• Water added to a color pigment

determines the value, or lightness/darkness. Light colors are achieved by adding more water. Dark colors are made by using less water.
