IMABE TWO RAM BALERS for non- ferrous scrap processing
2409-13 2RAM Baling Systems – SILVER’S METAL CO.(Detroit, MI) 2
DESCRIPTION MAIN OBJECTIVE
Design, manufacture, supply and installation of a new IMABE 2 Ram baler to
process different type of non ferrous scrap, plastics, cardboard, etc.
2409-13 2RAM Baling Systems – SILVER’S METAL CO.(Detroit, MI) 3
PRESENTATION
IMABE 2 RAM Baling Systems
2RAM Baler – The best solution for multipurpose materials (aluminum,
copper, radiators, inox steel, cardboard, plastics...)
View of the Main Compresión Cylinder – Assembled to the First Ram that will
be guided from the top and botton of the whole compresión tunnel.
Second Compression Cylinder
SOLID STRUCTURE – OVER 30% HEAVIER
THAN ANY COMPETITOR
2409-13 2RAM Baling Systems – SILVER’S METAL CO.(Detroit, MI) 4
The low part of the main
compression ram is one of the
structural parts that suffers more,
because in this part is where the
material creates the toughest
friction between the floor and
the ram (during the cutting
process is when the pressure
reaches its highest levels)
In order to reinforce the low structure of the compression ram, we mechanized one
complete replaceable part made of templated steel, crenellated according to
the floor shape construction.
With this special design we support the wearing area of the main ram,
strengthening the machine and making easy any maintenance operation of this
part that in the past force the customer to take out the complete ram and weld it
in the damaged
parts.
All knives installed
(fixed and mobile
pieces) are made
of templated steel,
easy to replace for
any maintenance
operation.
Reduce all maintenance work,
strengthening the equipment, and
extending the life of the whole
structure.
2409-13 2RAM Baling Systems – SILVER’S METAL CO.(Detroit, MI) 5
The pressing carriage is lined
with anti-wear steel plates
(HARDOX).
In the picture is shown how the
knives are assembled, not
directly to the pressing ram
but to another separate steel
mechanized part, that hold
the knive and avoid the
wearing out of the main
structure in the pressing
carriage.
THE COMPLETE BLADE IS DESIGNED IN 3 MAIN STRUCTURAL PIECES.
THIS DESIGN HELPS TO GIVE A BETTER TEMPERING STEEL PROCESS TO THE KNIVES,
BECAUSE OF THE SIZE OF EACH SEGMENTED PART. AND IN ANOTHER HAND MAKES
TO THE CLIENT MORE ECONOMIC THE REPLACE OF THIS SPARE PART, SINCE EACH
KNIVE CAN BE REPLACED SEPARATELY ACCORDING TO THE WEAR PART OF EACH
ZONE.
THE HIGH MECHANIZATION IN IMABE DESIGN makes easier and faster all maintenace works,
reducing downtimes and extending the lifetime of the machine, since all main wearing
areas are strengthened with more strong steel separated parts.
2409-13 2RAM Baling Systems – SILVER’S METAL CO.(Detroit, MI) 6
Adjustable Cutting System.
This design will help the customer to adjust easy and quickly the fixed knive,
according to the gap created by the cutting process of different scrap.
The tolerance gap between the ram and the cutting area will extend the
life of the whole knive structure, giving also the benefit of a smoother
cutting process.

(HARDOX made).
2409-13 2RAM Baling Systems – SILVER’S METAL CO.(Detroit, MI) 7
Grooved construction design.
The compaction chamber with the grooved construction design avoids
stoppages in the operation and makes a more efficient baling process of
any type of scrap.
Detail of the second baling ram,
mechanized with anti-wear hardox steel liners, adjusted to the grooved
construction of the compression chambers.
Heavy Duty & Robust Design

Draw-gate (Bale separation system)
IMABE includes as standard in all our 2RAM baling line, the design of a
special draw-gate, which has important benefits at operational and
economic point of view.
The system avoids stoppages or jams because of having always the
possibility to separate the material from one bale to the other; this ensures a
smooth and continuos operation and also more production per hour.
Simple and convenient
operation in all bale
ejection process.
The draw design offers the customer always the advantage of
bale different materials at any moment. This flexibility helps to
improve the customer adaptation to business trend or price
changing.
.
The separation system strength
the baling operation, giving
more density to the bale.
2409-13 2RAM Baling Systems – SILVER’S METAL CO.(Detroit, MI) 9
Blockage clearing system (Stampler)
IMABE 2RAM Baling Systems incorporates a blockage clearing ram activated when
the cutting pressure exceeds the safety valve pressure. This feature is an optional item
in some lower range Imabe baling presses.
This works in the following manner: If the pressing carriage cannot cut because of
excess material, when it arrives at its pressure limit it recedes 500 mm. From the cutting
line, at which point the blockage clearing ram presses the material down 300 mm.
From the cutting line, up to three consecutive times.
If, at the third press the blockage is not cleared, the pressure on the pressing tunnel is
automatically opened.

efficiency and reliability in the baling industry for 20 years. This model can be found
on more 2-ram balers in North America than any othersystem, which attests to its
superior performance in baling paper, corrugated non-ferrous metals, plastics, or
virtually any recyclable material or solid waste.

STEEL SLATS CONVEYOR SYSTEMS
General features
IMABE IBERICA, S.A. designs and manufactures metal conveyor belts with
the following characteristics:
They are based on a system of articulated metal slats, mounted and pulled by
chains with robust metal support rollers, with a high anti-wear factor.
Bucket-shaped vertical section profiles are mounted on the horizontal metal
slats of the conveyor belt to facilitate the pull and ascension of the waste to
the feed-in hopper.
A system of articulated lateral flanges on the pulling slats form a labyrinth to
keep the SUW from coming
through the lower sidings of
the conveyor.
The conveyor chain
incorporates a lubrications
system.
The motor heads for the
conveyor belts consist of an
electric motor and speed
reducer with straight gears. A
centrifugal hydraulic coupling
is mounted between the
motor and the speed
reducer, making the start-ups and stops of the conveyor belt smooth, with
progressive acceleration.
2409-13 2RAM Baling Systems – SILVER’S METAL CO.(Detroit, MI) 17
The electric motor has a cooling system which uses a continuous electric fan
mounted on the back part of the motor. This cooling system allows the
absorption of temperatures produced by start-ups and stops in short intervals
of time.
The conveyors are self-supporting with support legs adapted to the structure of
the conveyor forming a solid unit.
