As well as our members we need to re- member all of those who choose to serve in our military and our communities. The storms, and fires this year have put a burden on all first responders. At this time FEMA has agents working in 20 of our states. Please keep them all covered in prayer. We were able to personally thank Donnie Walton, the owner of the distillery, for his hospitality. Bob and Kurt presented him with a shirt that were made to remember this date. Kurt gave our treasurer’s report and after a deposit of $102 we have, $1,606.47 in the bank, this will increase after the deposit for the t-shirt sales is made. Bob then emphasized the need for us to have a volunteer to be the show chairman for our car show in 2018. We must have the chairman in place by January, and an announcement will be made at our February meeting. If we do not have a chairman there will not be a show in 2018.

DISTILLERY

The October meeting of the SENMC was held on Saturday,

October 14 at Walton’s Distillery in Jacksonville, NC. The distillery

was holding an open house an dour club cruised in together. We en-

joyed a delicious meal provided by the distillery staff, as well as mu-

sic provided by local musicians. Our members were able to taste the

products produced by the distillery and do some shopping in the re-

tail area of the facility. We held a brief meeting while we were there.

We had 14 Mustangs and 21 members present for this meet-

ing. Bob opened the meeting and thanked everyone for coming. He

issued a special thank you to Terry and Gloria Thompson who made

the arrangements for our visit to Walton’s Distillery.

There were two members present celebrating birthdays in

October. Emily Griffith, who counts her age in teacher years, is cel-

ebrating her 138th birthday on October 23. Teddy Janosick will cel-

ebrate being thirty through on October 25. Teddy and Charles are

also celebrating their 43rd. Anniversary on October 12. Best wishes

to everyone on these fun events.

Bob reminded us that we need to keep our entire membership

lifted up in prayer each day. As well as our members we need to re-

member all of those who choose to serve in our military and our

communities. The storms, and fires this year have put a burden on

all first responders. At this time FEMA has agents working in 20 of

our states. Please keep them all covered in prayer.

We were able to personally thank Donnie Walton, the owner

of the distillery, for his hospitality. Bob and Kurt presented him

with a shirt that were made to remember this date.

Kurt gave our treasurer’s report and after a deposit of $102

we have, $1,606.47 in the bank, this will increase after the deposit for

the t-shirt sales is made.

OCTOBER CRUISE TO WALTON’S

DISTILLERY

Our annual Christmas Dinner and Party meeting will be held on Sunday, December

10, 2017 at 5 PM, at Bluewater Grill, Wrightsville Beach, NC. The cost of the meal is $20

per person. We will have our annual “Dirty Santa Gift Exchange”, each couple wishing to

participate should bring one gift for this fun part of the party. We also are in need of a jo-

vial member, full of fun and Christmas spirit to volunteer to be our Santa this evening and

help with the gift distribution. This can also be a Mrs. Claus if one of you ladies wishes to

volunteer. We need someone willing to step up and help with this as Terry will be unable

to attend this year.

When you have work done on your Mustangs at Capital Ford do not forget to ask

for our club discount. Take the final page of this newsletter and show them the coupon.

Dennis Bosak took his Shelby to Myrtle Beach for the annual Mustang Stampede

show. He received a first in class for his car. Well done Dennis.

Our next meeting will be held on November 12, 2017 at Madison's in Snead’s Ferry,

at 3 PM. Our meeting time will be 3 PM for the winter months.

Nate Freeman has suggested that we hold another Dyno Day. He is going to go to

National Speed and find out what dates this winter will be good ones to hold this meeting.

Thank you Nate for stepping up to handle this.

Thank you to all our members who are willing to step up, make a suggestion, and

then help make a fun event happen. This is what our club is about, working together and

enjoying time spent together as a club family.

Charles Janosick suggested a thank you of some sort for the Barbours for sponsor-

ing our club. Terry suggested that we present them with the new T-shirts when our repre-

sentatives go and invite them to the Christmas dinner.

Bob reminded us to be careful driving home. Then we enjoyed a time of shopping

in the gift shop and began our homeward journeys.

PRAYER REQUESTS AND PRAISES

Please keep all of our members covered in prayer . Several of our members have ongoing medical

needs that are keeping them from our meetings, please keep these members in your prayers. Please con-

tinue to remember Greg Griffith as he continues his battle against cancer

As Bob reminded us, we need to continue to pray for the families of our members as well as

these specific requests. We also need to keep our communities, our state, and our nation and those who

have chosen to serve in these positions of responsibility lifted up. There are many areas of our nation

dealing with the results of natural disasters, as well as tragedy that was man made, please remember all of

these folks in your prayers as well.

We want to keep our members supported in times of joy as well as times of pain or sorrow, so

please let one of the board members know if there is something we need to keep in prayer or something

we can reach out and help a member handle. If you have a concern you feel is too personal or private to

share please let Emily know that you have an unspoken request. Please let Emily know if you hear of any-

one in our club who needs our prayers, email her at [email protected].

“ Another great event for everyone that was able to get out for a cool cruise to Walton’s Distillery. Everyone had plenty to eat and an opportunity to sample some great local spirits as well as do a little shopping before making that trek back home. There is great hope that we have someone willing to step up as our car show chairperson and if it works out, we will be in great hands this year. Keep your fingers crossed for an announcement soon.

Remember to get your reservation in soon for the Christmas party and we still need a Santa for the gift exchange.

Ground has been broken for the Mustang Museum in Charlotte and there should be a great opportunity for a cruise next April. More details to follow. Till next time, be safe and happy motoring. Regards, Bob”
