Oldies but Goodies BOM-

The “Rebecca Hendrix” Quilt Nancy Landon

The Rebecca Hendrix quilt was origi-nally made in 1847. We don’t know if she made the quilt, but she was the 1st owner. The quilt is a beautiful example of a folk art style Baltimore appliqué. The colors in the original were red, green, and yel-low. Nancy added touches of blue and cheddar to her reproduction. We will be-gin the project in October. The original quilt had plain borders. Nancy has cre-ated appliqué borders based on designs in the quilt. Cost is $50/year and this is a two-year project. Meets the first Saturday of each month, 10:00am, beginning in October, on Saturday, Oct. 5.

“Oldies” Reunion!- Nancy Landon

Please bring your past “oldies” projects for a reunion “Show-and-Tell” in Decem-ber. We’d love to see any and all com-pleted, (maybe not quite completed!? Es-pecially “Goldie” or “Baskets”) quilts and quilt tops. We’ll meet at 11:00 on the 1st Saturday in December, that’s the 7th. Treats and Door Prizes are planned. Please call to let us know you are com-ing.

Baltimore Ladies of Tucson- Nancy Landon

The Baltimore ladies of Tucson, con-tinue to meet and explore the art of Balti-more style appliqué. Join us the 2nd Fri-day of each month at 10:00. There is no fee for this group.
