rreeaaddyy ttoo ppaarrttyy.. As chief operations officer of the

start-up hedge fund, The Rare Fund, she joins us on the couch to gabahead of celebrating MOBOAwards founder Kanya King'sbirthday at Hanover Grange. "Weare very excited about the greatperformance," she shares of thehedge fund's healthy status to date.

The private client-basedoperation, which Henry-Lepartexplains can trend up and down, requires a minimum investment of€5 million for those looking to buy in."We are open to lower investmentsbecause naturally people want totest the water... but that would be ona selected basis and based on thenet worth of the client," the Britishnational tells SS OO.

Detailing her next professionalmove, Henry-Lapert says:"...because of where I am placed, there have been a number of otheropportunities coming my way, I amcurrently looking at what might be acorporate finance boutique that sitsalongside the hedge fund; that's anexciting opportunity... but it's anarea I am familiar with so I am veryexcited about it."

She's a second-generationJamaican (mum is from Hanover, her late father from Clarendon) andrelishes her trips here.

"I love it. It feels like home and it ishome really, and I am excited aboutthe prospects about Jamaica goingforward. I think it is a brilliantcountry," she shares.

And what's her take on The Rock'scurrent financial pickle?

"The current financial situation isglobal. I think that manygovernments around the world, western governments in particular, have made a number of harddecisions and have furtherdecisions to make about how theymanage their fiscal exposures. InJamaica there are long-term issuesthat are faced in the currentperspective. The solution to all ofthis is a degree of transparencyaround financing, and a focus oninfrastructure spending which is notuncommon coming out of arecession, and there has to beprovision for the most needyin society."

She takes a glass of bubbly froma passing waitress and with ourconvo complete, she's off to mingle.

And make no mistake about it, underthat beautiful exterior, lies a womandetermined to put her past behind her andget on with life.

Life post-England former manager SvenGoran Eriksson has made the Italian

lawyer's life tabloid fodder. Indeed, it'salmost impossible for Nancy Dell'Olio tostay out of the tabloids. There's nodiscussing that this evening, and who canblame her when she's found solaceamongst friends? There's nobody specialin her life right now, she shares, butnaturally there are a few admirers:

“I'm generous in relationships. I'm agiving person, supportive andunderstanding. Yes, there are times whenI'm impossible.” She explains: “But I'vefound myself.” Indeed, according to herastrologist, who she shares is always right,“Mr Right is in the cards for 2013.” He justmight be, but if Dell'Olio is to be believed“everybody wants me but it's difficult tokeep me”.

Mr Right might have a lot of work to do.

Her one-night only production (alongwith Pauline McLynn, Amy Lame andRita Tushingham) Vagina Monologues— an exclusive, intimate performance— produced by Jan Dunn inassociation with Oasis DomesticAbuse Service, which takes place this evening Sunday, February 17, is sold out.
