This is Owen, and today's part of the program is called Surrender to your Core Self, in which we will discuss what you can do to truly let go of all of your inhibitions. In the last video we discussed how powerful a spoken commitment can be when it comes to dedicating yourself to your goals. In this section, we discuss the next step which involves your ego. You didn’t really think it would be that easy, did you? Once you commit to a goal on that piece of paper, it will be very tempting to let your ego take over and fall back into your old habits. Once you decide to take action, your ego will get hooked into being the ‘doer’. Yes you can manifest to a certain point by using your ego as your driving force but there will come a time when it will stop working. As long as your ego is running the show, you will have absolutely no peace whatsoever and will fall back into survival mode complete with all of the doubts and fears you worked so hard to be rid of. You will start to see yourself as a victim of circumstances once again and you will fall into the deep sense of lack you just crawled out of. In other words, you will always think you never have enough and keep trying to fill that void in your heart which unfortunately, is a bottomless pit. The best way to ensure you do not fall into that trap is to simply let go after you have imbued all of the love and gratification you can into your plans. Trust that it will come to pass rather than nitpicking at it and trying to fill holes that don’t exist. All that is left to do is to let go of your attachment to the plan and trust that you will get the most perfect result which will be for the greater good. In a sense you will be surrendering the ‘self’ or your ego to the Divine which will open your channels to the abundance that is meant for you in the Universe. Once the source starts working through you, you will unconsciously start to command your subconscious to set aside your ego. Yes, you will continue to take action, but the steps will be free of worries and stress. At the point, you will just be and trust that your Core Self will lead you to where you want to go. Why is it so hard to do this when you have already committed to your goals?

Welcome to Video 7 of Module 2, on your journey to a new YOU through self realization and Reiki.

This is Owen, and today's part of the program is called Surrender to your Core Self, in which we will

discuss what you can do to truly let go of all of your inhibitions.

In the last video we discussed how powerful a spoken commitment can be when it comes to dedicating

yourself to your goals.

In this section, we discuss the next step which involves your ego.

You didn’t really think it would be that easy, did you?

Once you commit to a goal on that piece of paper, it will be very tempting to let your ego take over and

fall back into your old habits.

Once you decide to take action, your ego will get hooked into being the ‘doer’.

Yes you can manifest to a certain point by using your ego as your driving force but there will come a

time when it will stop working.

As long as your ego is running the show, you will have absolutely no peace whatsoever and will fall back

into survival mode complete with all of the doubts and fears you worked so hard to be rid of.

You will start to see yourself as a victim of circumstances once again and you will fall into the deep sense

of lack you just crawled out of.

In other words, you will always think you never have enough and keep trying to fill that void in your

heart which unfortunately, is a bottomless pit.

The best way to ensure you do not fall into that trap is to simply let go after you have imbued all of the

love and gratification you can into your plans.

Trust that it will come to pass rather than nitpicking at it and trying to fill holes that don’t exist.

All that is left to do is to let go of your attachment to the plan and trust that you will get the most

perfect result which will be for the greater good.

In a sense you will be surrendering the ‘self’ or your ego to the Divine which will open your channels to

the abundance that is meant for you in the Universe.

Once the source starts working through you, you will unconsciously start to command your

subconscious to set aside your ego.

Yes, you will continue to take action, but the steps will be free of worries and stress.

At the point, you will just be and trust that your Core Self will lead you to where you want to go.

Why is it so hard to do this when you have already committed to your goals?

Remember what we discussed about conditioning in our previous videos?

Here’s a refresher.

The beliefs we grow up with imprint themselves on our minds and influence our future decisions

whether they are related to our relationships or our careers.

And whether you are aware of your core beliefs or not, they have the ability to affect your decisions,

influence your thoughts and direct your emotions.

Years of conditioning can be hard to break out of even after you think you have overcome them enough

to commit to a goal.

If you have been told you will never succeed in life or life is unfair and it is better to settle to what you

can do, you will never be more than what you are now.

However, all is not lost!

At this point when you believe your commitment is in danger, identify and evaluate your core beliefs.

Look for those that are plain as day or black and white and modify them into being realistic.

For instance if you want to re-evaluate that getting to a specific goal is not possible, re-think it by saying

that it is not impossible.

That will automatically open you up to a world of possible solutions.

That’s because modifying core beliefs requires determined intention and hard work but it can also

change the entire course of your life if done correctly.

Directing energy away from your core beliefs by worrying about things that are not in your control will

only hinder your progress.

The more you dwell on negative problems that you do not have the power to solve, the less energy you

will have left over for more creative endeavors.

For example worrying whether you a storm is coming or not won’t help you.

You can choose to be productive and prepare for it though by boarding up the windows and ensuring

everyone remain indoors.

Focus on only what you can control and hope for the best.

That is a core belief that you can stand behind 100% since by doing so you will allow yourself to shift

your mental faculties to more productive thoughts.

The more you practice using your core abilities wisely, the faster it will become a habit that can sustain

your goals.

When you feel that your thoughts are starting to shift to unproductive ones, make a conscious effort to

shift your mental energy into topics that can help you.

Save your mental prowess for more productive thoughts and endeavors and you can move mountains.

Yes, most of us don’t tend to dwell on our thoughts as much when we have goals to work for but by

increasing your awareness of your thinking patterns.

This exercise will help you build resilience over time and your mind will automatically block negative

thoughts as soon as they manifest.

Thus stopping them from influencing your behavior.

Your productive thoughts don’t have to be extremely positive though.

You might try to do too much at once and end up burning out in the process.

They should be realistic and balanced according to how much you can achieve during a particular time

period.

Yes, changing your conditioned beliefs requires constant monitoring but even though the process can be

exhausting, it is necessary if you want to become your best self.

If you want to become strong mentally, that does not mean that you have to shut down your emotions

completely.

Mental strength calls for an acute awareness of your emotions.

Think of it as a compass that guides you and prevents you from acting contrary to what you believe in.

However, challenging your core beliefs and emotions by stepping out of your comfort zone can help you

broaden your horizons.

You can say that by tolerating uncomfortable situations or discomfort can help you accept your feelings

without letting them control your actions.

A strong mental sense also involves an understanding of when it makes sense to act contrary to your

emotions so that you can make the best decision on how to respond.

For instance, if you experience anxiety a lot and it prevents you from trying new things, stepping out of

your comfort zone and by trying out a few will help.

It will be quite difficult in the beginning but it will become easier as your confidence grows with each

conquered obstacle.

So for instance instead of saying ‘I wish I was more confident when meeting new people’, choose to

become outgoing whether you like it or not.

Also take time out to reflect on your progress and see what you did right or wrong according to your

emotions and core beliefs.

List what you have learned from those encounters in a mental list and adjust your behavior accordingly.

Consider what you want to improve and try again the next day.

There will always be room for improvement in the beginning but the key is to keep trying till you are at a

comfortable place.

By thinking about your progress, you can reach your definition of success and live according to your

values at the same time.

This will help you become the best version of you that you can be and will give you a solid foundation to

improve on your core values.

You have to have solid footing before you can break into a run, right?

In fact, this is your mind exercise for this session.

Make a list of things that make you uncomfortable and prevent you from doing the things you must to

continue your progress.

Tackle them one at a time and take as much time as you need on each.

Let’s be realistic about this, shall we?

Do this every single day till you are comfortable enough to tackle anything without feeling

uncomfortable and then start on your main goals.
