Version Two

Qualification StructureSeven prescriptions are designated core prescriptions and students must pass any six of these

Students may credit prescriptions totalling no more than 60 credits at level 4

Students must credit prescriptions totalling at least 80 credits at level 6

Students must complete 240 credits in total

Proposed Entry Requirements

Applicants over 20 years old must demonstrate that they can work/study at a level appropriate to the course.Applicant less than 20 years old must have one of the following:

NZ Bursary OR NZ 6th Form Certificate with 16 or less in 4 subjects OR 42 credits at level 3 or above. At least 28 of these credits

must come from an approved list AND 4 credits at level 2 or higher are required in Reading and 4 credits in Writing at level 2 or higher from the standards listed OR

Equivalent

International students where English is a second language

An IELTS score of 6.0 (academic) with no individual band lower than 5.5 or TOEFL score of 550

Transition - TimelinesAny student who enrolls for their first NZDipBus prescription from 1 January 2008 will complete version two of the qualification.

Any student who passed one or more NZDipBus prescriptions and the results were reported to NZQA prior to 1 January 2007 will have three years to complete version one of the qualification.

Any student who has not passed prescriptions for the qualification and had the results reported to NZQA by 1 January 2010 must completed version two of the qualification.

Transition - StudentsA number of candidates who have partially completed version one of the NZDipBus prior to 1 January 2008 will be in transition between the two versions of the qualification. Some of these candidates may choose to complete version two of the NZDipBus:
