Then the officials gathered the children and as they wait, the group tried to mingle with the kids and befriend them.

The second day of program focuses on the Basic First Aid. The group cleaned up the venue and prepared the materials needed for our Basic First Aid. By the time the teenagers came, the program committee acknowledged them and tried to bond with them. It was hard at first because most of them were shy and uncomfortable. Other members of the group approached them and tried talked with them in a manner like that they are siblings.

As the program started, Josevee Dagdag led the prayer first and introduced the group to the participants.

The lecture started, and the program committee together with the help of other committees demonstrated the proper CPR technique. But before that, it was explained first the importance of basic first aid and the help it could give to the community and the knowledge that the participants can share and use to others.

Hera Mercado and Janina Carsola demonstrated the CPR technique. Hera was the rescuer and Janina was the victim lying on the tables. The Basic First Aid was learned by the group on their last NSTP 1 seminar provided by the Red Cross.

Hera was taking Janinas vital signs and pulse. Teaching to participants on how to locate the pulse and what the normal pulse beat of a human is. Josevee guided the demonstrators and checking on their work.

Josevee was showing on how to listen properly on the breathing of a victim.

After the lecture and our demonstration, the participants were asked to do a demonstration too. One of the male participants played as a rescuer and Felix Alfonso was the victim. It was fun for the participants watching their friend doing a demonstration.

First procedure starts with checking of the vital signs. The male participant was locating Felixs pulse and checking if the victim is conscious. Other group members are on a stand by position to check if the procedure was done correctly.

After checking on the vital signs the male participant was doing a chest compression to Felix Alfonso. Other program committee members check on his hands if it is properly done. It was funny for the participants at first because for them it was awkward.

After a male participant, female volunteers were asked to demonstrate the CPR. While doing the procedure they were laughing and a little uncomfortable because it was new to them. Though they learned the procedure properly and continue on the lecture of Heimlich maneuver.

Two female participants, doing the Heimlich maneuver while Josevee was explaining the procedure. After the first two procedures, the proper way of treating wounds and burns was also taught to them.

The program ended finding new friends and teaching the youth to become knowledgeable on Basic First Aid that could help the community in case of accidents and trouble.
