N S E W November 2009 Why we do it: We travel because we’re invited to churches, small groups, and homes to share about our ministry. NORTH TO SOUTH AND EAST TO WEST We’ve been criss-crossing the US now for 30 days, our travels taking us from Michigan to Alabama, the Atlantic coast to the deserts of Arizona. Follow our continuing journey at www.ntm.org/ric_bruce . What a difference a month can make. Two big milestones: first, Sharon is now completely finished with her linguistics course. Second, our pledged monthly support has nearly doubled to a total of 25% as individuals and churches have picked us up on this trip. Sharon did a wonderful job on her Cherokee work, putting in countless hours processing the data she gathered in Oklahoma. All her work paid off on November 9th, when she emailed the finished product to her teacher. After a four day missions conference in Maryland, Sunday services in Virginia, Tennessee, and Missouri, and several opportunities to share in homes, restaurants, and small groups along the way we feel satisfied with the success of our trip. 32 individuals have signed up to receive our updates, 200 of our prayer cards and brochures were taken, one small group adopted us as their missionaries, and one new church has made a decision to support us financially. Our trip isn’t over. Currently we’re in Arizona celebrating thanksgiving with family. We fly back to Missouri the beginning of December and complete our trip by visiting churches in Arkansas and Oklahoma. Please pray for safety as we continue our journey. We hope this round of traveling will help propel us into ministry in Southeast Asia in the summer of 2010. Questions? Comments?
