Do you love history? The human-animal bond? Stories of star-crossed lovers? This

month’s book club checks all the boxes! Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen is the tale of

veterinary student Jacob Jankowski who runs away and joins the circus in 1932. In the

midst of the Great Depression, the circus struggles to provide a sense of hope to its

audience. Life within the circus isn’t easy either - Jacob gets to know a ragtag crew, an

equestrian star rider, Marlena, and Rosie the elephant. Join us Wednesday, November

20, from 1:30 - 3 p.m. to discuss! Call (765) 855-5223 to reserve your copy today.

HOLIDAY

GIVING TREE

The holidays are an exciting time of giving

and receiving. At CPL, our goal is to give

and meet needs of Centerville’s younger

friends. Starting after Thanksgiving, we

will accept donations of socks (youth sizes

to adults) to decorate our Giving Tree.

Local non-profits and organizations have

indicated this is the item of greatest need

for children during the colder months.

Throughout December, the Giving Tree

will be in the main lobby. Once the Giving

Tree is here, please

feel free to bring in

socks to decorate its

branches.
