Respect for Self Respect for Others Respect for Property
Message from the Principal: 9 November 2018 Dear Parents/Caregivers A big well done and thank you to our students’ council for their organisation of the colour run held last Friday. Students and staff involved had a lot of fun despite the chilly conditions. All funds raised with be going help sufferers of Cerebral Palsy. Tuesday was our last day for our seniors and today is the first external examination for some of our students. I wish all of our seniors well and look forward to the results later in January. Hopefully you have received the notice sent home about the PPTA paid union meeting on the afternoon of November 20. We realise this is an imposition for families but it is important that some key issues are addressed so New Zealand's education system continues to be world class. Yesterday all Year 8 & 9 students received an intention sheet for their option subjects for 2019. There are 10 different subjects to choose, and the variety on offer, we hope it will cater to the needs and interests of our students. Next week our Year 10 students head off on their annual Port Craig camp. The weather is looking better and I'm sure the group will have a great experience. Noho ora mai

and better sleep quality.
What do you do to relax?
Next week is all about

Golf We had 4 teams compete at the Northern Primary Golf which was held at Mossburn, with 2 teams making the next round which will take place on 22 November at the Drummond Golf course involving the top 40 teams in Southland. The two teams that qualified are Ellis Baker, Mackenzie Herrick, Maddison Price and Aillish Woods in one team and the other is Lachlan Elder, Kynan Marsh, Fynn Mitchell and Grace Naylor. The day consists of 9 holes of golf accompanied by an “Eagle” golf club member and activities related to golf skills. We wish both teams well with their golf.
