This slide indicates those proposed import terminal projects that have already completed the regulatory review processes of the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, and have received government approval to be built. Sabine Pass received it’s commissioning cargo on April 12th. Commercial Operations expected by June 30th. Freeport LNG received it’s commissioning cargo on April 15th. Excelerate Energy said Wednesday it delayed for "scheduling reasons" the first liquefied natural gas delivery into the new Northeast Gateway LNG site off the coast of Massachusetts until sometime in May

This slide indicates those proposed import terminal projects that have already completed the regulatory review processes of the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, and have received government approval to be built. Broadwater recent developments Sen. Ron Wyden introduced legislation April 7th that, if enacted, would give states the primary role in siting LNG terminals and related projects. Joining Wyden as co-sponsors for the bill were Sens. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y.; Joe Lieberman, I-Conn.; Chris Dodd, D-Conn.; and Barack Obama, D-Ill. The stand-alone legislation, S.B. 2822, would repeal sections of the Energy Policy Act of 2005, which gave the siting role to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission While the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) approved the project in March, operator Broadwater Energy LLC still needed a permit from the New York Department of State to determine the project's consistency with the New York Coastal Management Plan under the applicable provisions of the Coastal Zone Management Act. The New York Department of State denied the permit, which was needed before installation activities began. New York Gov. David Paterson joins Connecticut Gov. Jodi Rell and other elected officials in Connecticut and New York in opposing the project, who say the terminal could pose an environmental risk to the Sound's ecosystem and claim it poses a potential target for terrorist attack.

In this slide, we see the proposed import terminal projects in the U.S. that have commenced but not completed the regulatory review process. The number of existing, approved, and proposed terminals shown on these three slides is 41. In addition to these three categories, there are also multiple projects that have been publicly announced by the project sponsors which have not commenced the regulatory review process yet.
