Useful information

You can take the flybus from the air terminal directly to the hotel. The price for direct transport to the hotel is 2200 ISK (single) and 4000 ISK (return). this fare is higher (500 ISK) than the standard ticket for travel to the central bus station. Be sure to tell the driver that you inted to travel to Hotel Baron.

The price per night at Hotel Baron is 9000 ISK, breakfast included.A 24/7 grocery store is around the corner from the hotel and many restaurants can be found on Laugavegur, which is nearby the hotel.You can also easily walk to the centre of Reykjavík.

Hlemmur (bus terminal)From here (black arrow) you step onboard bus 18.

Bus 4 has its own parking place (marked) at Snorrabraut.

Here you can see a map of the bus route. You must walk to Hlemmur (260 meters) and take bus number 18 (06 and 36 minutes past the hour). A one-fare is 280 ISK but you can also buy an 11 ticket card (at Hlemmur) and the price for such a card is 2500 ISK. Make sure that you have the correct amount when boarding the bus, as no change is given.

You can also take bus number 4 from Hlemmur and step out at Kringlumýrarbraut on the opposite of Kringlan (the shopping center).The bus leaves Hlemmur 04, 19, 34 and 49 past the hour. Then youmust walk 320 meters to IMO.

Here you step out at Bustadavegur and there is a pedestrian underpass on the way to IMO.

The retraining course will be held in this building (Landsnet) and it is only a few hundred metres from IMO.

The Icelandic Meteorological Office, Bustadavegur 9.where you will have lunch during the course. You can either buy 5 meal tickets (full meal) for 4500 ISK or 5 soup and bread ticketsfor 2500 ISK. Payment by credit card is preferable.
