MastheadThe masthead is bold and red the colour may represent a neutral colour to both genders. Its placed on the third left of the magazine this shows its important because the audience reads the third left, even though the masthead has been overlapped by the main image we are aware that it is an NME magazine because its such a well known magazine.

Main imageThere’s much confidence coming from this image by his pose and the way he is stood, his arms are open to show that he is welcoming the audience . The clothing he is wearing is a stereotype to what we believe the audience of this type of genre would be wearing, in the background there's clear use of graffiti this connotes the expression of young people.

Main cover lines‘Dizzee Rascal’ is not in a straight line this shows the informality its showing difference as its not following the key conventions we would typically find on a magazine. The use of the colour white connotes a new and fresh vibe to music, the font is in sans serif and uppercase.

Cover linesThe use of the word man at the end of this pull out quote shows the informality it’s a slang word.

This is a clear example of a flash it uses the word news this connotes its happening now that its new and can be referred to seriousness

Starring usually associated to film/television, it then follows on to say what people they will have in this issue.

There is an obvious colour scheme throughout this front cover, the colours being red, white and black these colours connote being fresh and a new vibe.
