Allergies• Phoning other hospitals to get more

information on patients e.g. attending other clinics in other hospitals, blood results, x-ray results, discharge letters, etc.

• Ordering notes from other hospitals• Printing out several blood results for

anaesthetist • Bringing patients back to get repeat

bloods

• After• No need to phone GP• All current letters from other

hospitals is available from ECR• Bloods results from all GP/hospital

sources are available – several results are available to view at one time

• Bloods can be repeated in GP practice – results are then available on ECR

• No need to order notes to see clinic letters – only if anaesthetist requires to see past anaesthetic notes
