The $22.4 billion video game industry is ever changing and highly competitive. Since the introduction of its electronic gaming consoles, Nintendo has proven to be a powerful entity and has ultimately become a household name, along with some of the gaming titles affiliated with it (such as Mario, Pokemon and Zelda). Successful in targeting younger individuals and families, the company reported operating revenue of $4.6 billion USD at the end of its fiscal year dated March 31, 2015. However, a corporation always seeks areas of improvement in order to gain more market share over other competitive entities. The following report illustrates Nintendo’s current position within the industry, through a thorough analyzation of aspects including structure and competitive strategies.
