Utility Incentives

§  The Ilios machine falls either under existing incentive programs with several utilities or under custom programs

§  Many utilities will pay $1.00-$2.50/therm saved in the first year. This could be anywhere from $15,000-$50,000 depending on the installation.

§  Incentives currently available through, National Grid, NStar, SoCalGas, and others.

§  Helps Utilities meet their therm savings goals §  Typical installations save 15,000-30,000 therms/year

Federal Incentives

§  Ilios heat pump qualifies for the 10% Investment Tax Credit as it is considered mechanical CHP. This is available until December 21, 2016.

§  Per section 48(a)(3)(A)(v) of the IRC the CHP Tax Credit is defined as:

“A property compromising of a system which uses the same energy source for simultaneous or sequential generation of electrical power, mechanical shaft power, or both, in combination with the generation of steam or other forms of useful thermal energy (including heating and cooling applications”

Screen shot of unit running at full load producing 130°F hot water at 90°F ambient in Boston on 7/19/13 in our factory test cell. As you can see the unit is putting out 650,000 Btu/hr of heat with a gas input of only 289,577 Btu/hr. This provides a COP = 650,000/289,577 = 2.25

This is 3X the efficiency of typical gas boiler!!
