Melissa Lloyd (Coordinator) Recognition of Students Kooringal Public’s annual Presentation Night was held on Wednesday 10th December. Presentation Night is an acknowledgement of not only academic excellence and sporting excellence but other qualities such as consistent effort and citizenship. It was an appropriate time also to farewell the school leadership team of Isabell Mohr, Nathaniel Galvin, Chelsea McEwan and Kyle Hockley, and invest the Captains and Prefects for 2015. The Choir and Concert Band had their final performances on the night and I am sure you must agree were outstanding. Given the standard of students attending Kooringal Public you can well imagine the level of competitiveness for each award. Not all children receive awards, as much as we would like this to happen. If children are performing to their personal best we consider that all are winners in the true spirit of KPS and I hope that you also take the time to reinforce this message with your children. Over the course of the school year all children are acknowledged and receive awards either at class, grade or whole school level. A huge thank you to Mr Fletcher and his team of teachers who organised another successful Presentation Night. On Friday 12 th December our Sports Presentation Assembly took place. Here was an opportunity to recognise our huge range of sports and successful participants. Congratulations to all our award winners. A special thank you to Mrs Fitzpatrick and her team who organised a very smooth running presentation. On Monday afternoon we recognised our Year 6 students through the Graduation Assembly. The students had an opportunity to show case their technology skills through several movies and also their dancing skills. Mrs Fitzpatrick, Mrs Edmunds, Mr Kerr and Mrs Smith put a lot of time and effort into the organisation of this special assembly. Thank You I would like to take this opportunity to thank my very hard working and extremely dedicated staff for their teaching and learning efforts throughout the year. They work tirelessly to develop quality teaching and learning Lost property Are you missing a jumper, hat, or container. Please check lost property or class bag rooms this week before it ALL goes.

programs that cater for each individual child’s needs and interests. Kooringal Public has offered our students an extensive array of opportunities which provide challenges, enrichment and inspiration far beyond the classroom. Congratulations and thank you to all staff! Thank you to the parent community and in particular our amazing P&C, for their support of the school. The P&C have worked extremely hard this year, organising many fantastic events and activities. Their fundraising efforts are truly amazing. A special thank you to the students for their industrious efforts and the manner in which they approach all aspects of their school life. We can all be justifiably proud of your efforts and positive attitude. Farewell We wish all our year 6 students a very fond farewell and all the very best for their future. Congratulations and we wish you all the best as you commence the next exciting stage in your life; secondary schooling! We will also be bidding a fond farewell to a number of families who are moving away from Wagga and Mrs Geary who is moving to South Australia. We wish all these people all the very best for their future in their new schools. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays The staff of KPS wishes all families a very Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year, a restful holiday and good health. 2014 has been another outstanding year. Congratulations our GOLD PRC Award Winners These eight students achieved a Gold Award in the 'Premier's Reading Challenge' this year. They have successfully completed the challenge over several years. Well done. Not pictured is our Platinum recipient Ephram Abdel-Malak.
