Hello everyone!

! I can’t even begin to describe how exciting the last week has been for me! My first copies of ‘Rise’ arrived on Wednesday and within one week, I had shipped out over 300 copies of the book. By mid week this week, the letters, e-mails, Facebook messages and notes have been pouring in. The great news: readers are loving ‘Rise’. Word is that everyone loves it as much if not more than ‘Salvaged’.! In one-hundred percent honesty, I’ve spent the last year worrying about ‘Rise’. There was such a passionate response to ‘Salvaged’ that I was scared that there was no way the sequel could meet the hopes and expectations readers had for it. I’ve read plenty of books that had sequels and even I usually walk away disappointed that the future portions of the story weren’t as good as the first. It happens all the time and this made me a nervous wreck! ! How scared was I? I didn’t send any copies of ‘Rise’ to bloggers (other than those whose reviews I used in the front of the book). I didn’t do much in the way of pushing the book on Goodreads or on other websites. I just took pre-orders and pretty much left it at that. Once the books were shipped, I nervously waited to hear what readers thought. To say that I’ve let out a huge sigh of relief would be an understatement. People are just as excited now as they were when they read the first book and the excitement has rubbed off on me!! To this point, about one-thousand people have read ‘Salvaged’ and as I’ve said, about 300 copies of ‘Rise’ have gotten into people’s hands. I have no way of knowing who has read ‘Salvaged’, so this is where I ask for a bit of help. If you know of people who read the first book, would you please let them know that the second book is out and available? I’m sure they’d love to know that there’s more story about Attie and Riley to be read!! You might also want to encourage them to get on this mailing list or join my Facebook “like” page. It is there that I will be keeping everyone updated about the new book which will be coming out in the winter of 2012. I’m not lying when I say that ‘Collision’ is BY FAR my favorite book I’ve written and the beta-readers who have read the book agree with me 100%. New characters, new locations (including Uganda, Africa) and let me just say, if you loved Riley Bennett, just wait until you meet Cabot Stone! Wowsers! And Kei, the female lead, is a one of a kind who will steal your heart within a matter of paragraphs.! You guys are doing it! You’re passion for ‘Salvaged’ and now ‘Rise’ is getting infectious. More and more people are asking about them and more and more lives are being changed because of the messages the books contain. DEER CREEK HIGH SCHOOL

MS. PACE, THE WONDERFUL LIBRARIAN AT DEER CREEK HIGH SCHOOL IN DEER CREEK, OK, WAS KIND ENOUGH TO INVITE ME TO SPEAK TO HER STUDENTS.

THE SCHOOL ORDERED 20 COPIES OF THE BOOK, WHICH CIRCULATED TO ALMOST 60 GIRLS.

I SPOKE TO THE CREATIVE WRITING CLASS AND TO THE BOOK CLUB. IT WAS A GREAT TIME AND I APPRECIATED THE OPPORTUNITY! I’M GOING BACK IN MAY TO DISCUSS ‘RISE’.

2011 ROAR YOUTH CONFERENCE

ON MARCH 17TH AND 18TH, I HAD THE PLEASURE OF TAKING PART IN THE ROAR YOUTH CONFERENCE FOR OKLAHOMA INDEPENDENT ASSEMBLIES.

ON THE SECOND DAY, I SPOKE AT THE GIRL’S BREAKOUT SESSION ON THE TOPIC OF WHAT IT MEANS TO BE “SALVAGED”.

ALL IN ALL, IT WAS A WONDERFUL TWO DAYS OF BOTH SPIRITUAL REFRESHMENT AND POURING IN TO THE LIVES OF HUNDREDS OF YOUNG LADIES AND THEIR YOUTH LEADERS.

In 2008, while visiting a friend out of state, Stefne had a dream in which the Lord asked her to join him on a new journey. Upon waking, she wrote down the dream and Salvaged was born. Salvaged was released by Tate Publishing in May of 2010. The sequel to Salvaged, Rise will be released in Spring of 2011.

Due to glowing reviews on both secular and Christian book review sites, and Salvaged’s growing fanbase, Stefne was

selected as one of 15 Finalists for the

Goodreads Choice Awards Debut Author of 2010. Salvaged is also a finalist for the Oklahoma Book Award in the category of Children/Young Adult. The award ceremony is to be held in April.

Stefne currently lives in Edmond, Oklahoma and has been married to Shaun, a realtor, since 1994. Shaun and Stefne have three sons - Jacob (14), Caleb (12) and Yohannes (11). She is now a full time writer and speaker.

In her signature talk, SALVAGED, Stefne uses personal experiences, scripture references and her testimony to encourage others to embrace what it means to be salvaged: One damaged and rejected; now restored and accepted. She teaches that while we go through life experiencing the rejection of others, suffering the consequences of our own choices, or the choices of others; God reaches in, pulls us out of our place of damage, restores our lives and gives us purpose. She ends her talk encouraging others to accept the Lord’s offer to join him on a new journey. His journey.

Stefne was born an "Army Brat" and lived in many states growing up including: Oklahoma, Hawaii, Georgia, Virginia and Pennsylvania. Before trying her hand at writing, she held various jobs including working along side her husband in Children's Ministry for more than eight years; becoming the Director of Operations and later a Public Policy Specialist and Cabinet Liaison for then Governor of Oklahoma, Frank Keating; and later, a pharmaceutical representative for one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world.
