7 December 2015 - Wow the end of another school year! The end of this year marks 10 years I have been working in this fantastic school time flies when you are having fun! It is an incredibly unique place to work and has the most extraordinary kids. I want to take this opportunity to thank the dedicated, skilful, fun- loving people I have been so fortunate to work with here we have a phenomenal staff and board all are very different but all are essential to the way the school runs, and all truly want what is best for all our kids. The whanau and community also make this an amazing community to work in the way you get behind your kids and the school is so appreciated we could not do what we do without all of you being positive and supportive. BOOK CHARACTER DAY Wednesday On Wednesday the 9 th December the Librarian and Event Management Hapori Awhina groups are holding a book character day! Fun! - For this you will need to dress up as your favourite book character. - A boy and girl from each class will be chosen as best dressed and the winners will get a little prize. - This is followed by games in the afternoon. Thursday - Art Show and BBQ (Please note the change of time – the Swimming Club are having a fun night starting at 6 so we are starting earlier as it would be awful if kids had to pick between 2 such fun events for them!) Please let us know if you cannot get your child/ren to this as it would be horrid for them to miss seeing their art on display and we may be able to help you out with arrangements! Congratulations! This morning, the following students were awarded the Rotary Club of Invercargill South Youth Awards. These are awarded each year by Rob McIntosh to 4 senior students in recognition of students who have shown positive citizenship skills. Congratulations to: - Ellie Roberts - Jordan Payne - Michael Woodrow - Tyrone Pou ERO Report As you will know we had ERO in at school in the last week of term 3 I have attached the final report which we are thrilled with - it is a reflection on us a school, the kids we are lucky enough to work with every day and who breathe life into the school, the whanau of these kids who support us in a million ways, and the community we all share and operate within Yay us!
