Dear Colleagues,

Welcome to the first edition of RoyalCert Int News; our monthly internal bulletin. It is a pleasure to see that we have now reached a stage in our companies’ history that an internal magazine not only makes sense to have, but is needed. The aim of this monthly bulletin is to further enhance our internal communication and give the opportunity for everyone to show-case their achievements. As we are expanding geographically and in volume of business, this magazine will help us all in being more in-formed of each other’s activities.

2019 was a year of change for us. We set a new direction for our organization and renewed our vision, mission and purpose. We have become more dynamic in our approach in the direction that will place us higher in the T.I.C industry. We are all working towards this goal by im-proving our brand perception through provid-ing more accredited schemes to more geogra-phies. We aim to be recognized as a reliable and trustworthy partner to our customers by providing them with a certification process that not only gives them a ticket to trade but that also adds value to them through the audit process and leads them to a more sustainable business environment. It is through our cus-tomers that we too will become stronger and more sustainable!

That is why we are now investing in improv-ing our internal processes for better efficiency, reliability and speed. We understand that these changes sometimes disrupt the status quo, but they are necessary in paving a stronger road into our future. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for supporting our efforts, and being part of our journey. As brand ambassadors; your ethos in how you conduct and present yourselves reflects directly on RoyalCert as a whole, so please continue demonstrating your best. I hope you will enjoy this first edition of Int News. We welcome your thoughts, suggestions and above all your contributions for future publications.

According to IAF (International Accreditation Forum) rules, all certification bodies have sites should be wit-nessed by accreditation body. This year RoyalCert Taiwan was audited by DAkkS.

First day of the audit; DAKKS audit team complet-ed to check requirements of ISO 17021 at the Office. The second day one of Taiwan client was witnessed in metal production sector. RoyalCert Taiwan completed both Office and sites audit successfully.

FRANKFURT MEETING

In our effort to create a more in-clusive environment with our agents, a platform to acknowl-edge agent performance and to having a mechanism in which we receive input for jointly shaping our future; the executive board set out some selection criteria for how the RoyalCert Board will be formed. The selection criteria took into consideration the fol-lowing:

• Punctuality• Trust• Quality• Quantity• Growth• Confidence/ potential.

After careful evaluation we de-cided that Board of 2020 would consist of HQ, S. Arabia, Kuwait, Korea, Taiwan, Romania and Sri Lanka. This evaluation will again take place in December of each year and members may be changed for the subsequent years.

The two-day board meeting com-prised of various discussions and workshops, were HQ presented the current status of the compa-ny, industry trends, operational controls and laid the challenges and ambitions that need to be ad-dressed in 2020.

The outcome of these discussions was communicated to all our agents such as the way in which HQ will be more closely involved in the internal audit procedure of each agent. We also discussed on the need of an incentive program for our agents; in which they will have an incentive in introducing new agents from their network.

The meeting also gave the board members to interact between themselves which HQ is hoping will create a working environ-ment of synergy where best prac-tices are shared and everyone benefits from.

Finally, we had the opportunity to have our case manager from DaKKS visit our board meeting, which gave a chance for him and the agents to get to know each other and have brief discussions on upcoming changes in accred-itation outlook.

NEWS RELATED TO DAKKS ACCREDITATION

RoyalCert HQ moved in Au-gust 2019 to its new office in Frankfurt am Main, which is located in the business district of the city center. Directly after our move we successfully com-pleted in September 2019 the Surveillance Audit in the new office in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Also, since the sum-mer 2019 we have the accredita-tion for OHSAS 18001 and ISO 27001 and can now provide 6 accredited standards to our cli-ents (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISO 22000, ISO 27001, and OHSAS 18001).

In 2018 new versions of the standards ISO 22000, ISO 50001 published and OHSAS 18001 transferred to the new

issued standard ISO 45001. Roy-alCert provided all transition documents to DAkkS for review and completed some Witness Au-dits. Our new accreditation cer-tificate with the new address of HQ and the latest standards ISO 22000:2018, ISO 50001:2018 and ISO 45001:2018 will be is-sued soon, as DAkkS confirmed.

Back in 1992, James Brian Quinn’s book Intelligent Enterprise (Free Press, 1992) suggests that intel-lect is the fundamental resource in producing and delivering ser-vices.

The book describes the manage-ment approach and computing infrastructure needed to harness that intellect effectively. This ap-proach is referred to in business jargon as Knowledge Manage-ment.

It is the knowledge of our people that has brought us to where we are and it is the same knowledge, we convey to our customers that makes us a reliable partner.

As a service provider, we are in contact with thousands of com-panies and people on a daily ba-sis in 28 countries, and everyone can agree that this interaction produces an array of knowledge, which unfortunately isn’t being harnessed in the most efficient manner.

What separates an intelligent en-terprise from an average enter-prise? An intelligent enterprise gathers information – about the brand, the product, and the cus-tomers – and uses that informa-tion to take action. With this in mid we are working towards the development of RoyalSys; a web-based production tool that will foster a faster, more accurate and

harmonized way we communicate information, gather data and mon-itor our performance. The benefit from a faster internal process due to the new system; will mean that our agents have more time in do-ing what’s most important to them ‘grow’ their business as they will have more time to do so. Our em-ployees on the other hand will bet-ter utilise their capabilities by re-directing their time and focus on more value adding activities.

RoyalCert aspires in upping its game as one of the leading TIC play-ers in the world. Firstly, please introduce yourself.

My name is Gang-Ho Seo, the team leader of Mitsubishi Tanabe Phar-ma Korea Co., Ltd.

Please tell us more about your company.

Our company is located in Hyangnam Pharmaceutical Com-plex in Hwaseong-City, Gyeong-gi-Do, Korea. We are a Korean corporation of Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Group in Japan and spe-cialized in production/sale of phar-maceutical products as a member of the group.

What is your main products?Our flagship product is Eglandin

that is prescribed in the surgical field. And the circulatory products, Herben, Tanatril have long been-prescribed to patients. In addition, Radicut, the treatment for intracta-ble disease of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis was approved for the second time in the world.

We congratulate that you intro-duce local anesthetic this year since staring pain anesthesia ar-eas in 2018. What is your vision of your company?

Thank you. With the company phi-losophy that we render great ser-vices to the health of people in the world, we continuously introduce products from the head office in Ja-pan as well as US and Europe.

Also, we develop new products that are necessary for the fast-aging Ko-rean society and continuously pro-vide high quality medical informa-tion for the health of patients and the progress of medical fields.

We think it is meaningful that our wide range of portfolios makes us to provide better treatment options to medical staff and patients.

Now, you have obtained and main-tained ISO 14001:2015 through Royal-Cert Korea for about 10 years. Would you please tell us about RoyalCert and services?

Our relationship with RoyalCert has already been about 10 years. We think that the image of RoyalCert shown to us in 10 years became a growth engine to develop this much. Your auditors have found problems that we are accustomed to missing out.

The problems that RoyalCert auditors found were not just problems but im-portant points that we can improve our system and company. And by correct-ing our systems through employees and management, we have a change to grow and develop our company. Therefore, we think that these mutual relationships accumulated for a long time are the rea-sons why we have been with RoyalCert Korea so far.

SAUDI INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION CONFERENCE

VODAFONE 41th ISTANBUL MARATHON

This year RoyalCert Turkey organised RoyalCamp 2020 in Antalya Pine Beach Resort Belek between 15th - 17th February 2020. All RoyalCert colleagues in Turkey met in the event.

RoyalCert Saudi Arabia was one of the sponsores of Saudi International Exhibition Conference which too place between 19th - 21th August 2019.
