It is with delight that I reach out to all of you amazingCommission members! As Chair of the Commission, Iam extremely pleased that we are moving into the nextstage of our engagement with you. So get ready! Since the Congress in Hawaii, we have been very busy –and so many of you have helped us get to where weare. As you will read in this newsletter, #NatureForAllcontinues to flourish and grow. We now have over 250partner organizations around the world and a growingbody of knowledge and wisdom. Our Commissionmembership is also expanding at a rapid rate – and Iencourage you to continue to invite interested personsto join the Commission. The membership process is nowon line – so people can apply to be members by clickinghere. The last few months have been very busy for me – withan extreme travel regime. However, this has made itpossible for me to have met members in Peru, St. Lucia,the USA, Canada, Cuba, Switzerland, Austria, Indonesia,Kenya and at many international meetings. I am alwaysso impressed by the passion and commitment of ourcommunity. Together, I believe we can do great things.Read more...

CEC FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

Sustain by Design – an experiment tocommunicate the Sustainable Development Goals Graduate students at the Srishti Institute of Art, Designand Technology tackle the SDGs through creative andcritical practices, and asked provocative questions ofrelevance and over-simplification of the SDGs in theIndian context. The studio culminated in a studentconference where they showcased creativecommunication of the SDGs by engaging in a particularcontext or issue.Read more...

Celebrations for the Future! 22nd May 2018 was celebrated as the International Dayfor Biological Diversity, globally. As a part of this,several celebrations were held in India that alsocommemorated 25 years of India’s actions towardssecuring biodiversity for the future, through its legalframework process. The event held in Bangalore, Indiafocused on key achievements globally, nationally andlocally in securing the future of biodiversity andresolved nature is for all and for the future!Read more...
