Muslim Boarders and House Parents sharing their Hari Raya Celebration at home

Celebrating in Malacca and Johore, Rania Syarina (Form 2)

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, maaf zahir dan batin to everyone! My first day of Hari Raya involves lots of hugging and crying since we have to ask for forgiveness to each other. Eating was the main ‘event’ as we had rendang, lemang, ketupat and many baked cookies and cakes. And most importantly, I got lots of Hari Raya money!

Muhammad Fadli (Form 4)

Eid Al-Fitr (Hari Raya Aidilfitri) is my favourite time of the year as I get to wear new clothes and to look my best.

Celebrating in Batu Pahat, Siti Rodhiah (House Parent)

This is the special occasion which I look forward to every year as I get to meet all my family members.

Celebrating in Batu Kikir Negeri Sembilan, Nurfharhana Fhakira Anis (House Parent)

My Hari Raya celebration was back home with my loving family. I never miss this Aidilfitri as we all get together to get blessings from our parents. May the blessings of Allah be with us always even after the fasting in Ramadan. Enjoy this beautiful occasion of Eid by visiting relatives and exchange forgiveness from one another. Happy Eid Mubarak everyone!

Celebrating in Pengkalan Chepa Kelantan, Siti Fatimah (HouseParent)

All of us 8 siblings will gather in our kampung to spend time together and enjoy the festivities with our beloved mother.

Wishing all MGS students, family and staff a warm and blessed Aidilfitri. May Hari Raya bring everyone great joy and prosperity throughout the year.

Labour Day ‘GOTONG ROYONG’ Activity

In conjunction with the Labour Day holiday on 1 May, MGS BH ECO initiative team

organised a ‘gotong royong’ activity to commemorate the contribution of all

workers. Boarders assembled and cleaned up some areas around the BH (first floor

& in front of BH). This activity is not only aimed at physical cleaning, but also to

strengthen ties among BH family members. This will enable them to live in a

cleaner, healthier, more peaceful and harmonious environment.

DIY ACTIVITY Mother’s Day CardIn conjunction with Mother’s Day, MGS BH ECO initiative team organised a greeting cards DIY activity on 6 May for this special occasion. Boarders made greeting cards with recyclable materials (cardboard & colour papers). Creating greeting cards ourselves is more meaningful than getting readymade cards. Besides, this is the platform for boarders to showcase their own creativity and show their love to their beloved moms.

Lee Peggy (Form 4) I liked this activity as we were using all recycled materials. No cost involved, only needed creativity and patience. I was very engrossed in it and never felt the time pass by. I was happy that I created my own Mother’s Day Card.

Wan Nur Lina Aqilah (Year 9) I enjoy involving myself in this type of activities. This activity not only helps us but also brings us closer to our boarding mates and House Parents. I liked the activity and hope to make my own greeting cards soon.

Muhammad Hafiq Bin Mohd Mazlan (Form 4) I enjoy this type of activity. It was fun doing the Mother’s Day card with my friends and assisted by the House Parents. We develop our creativity while doing this activity. An activity not to be missed by others next year.

Ma Han Dong (Year 10) I learnt how to make Mother’s Day card. I was not good at it but the House Parent, Ms.Hana, showed me how to do it step by step and I was able to do it. It was a new experience for me and I hope to do it on my own in future. Hope to have more of this activity.
