Launched in March 2019, the hedge cutter is designed for ehanced comfort and control. Optimal balance and ergonomics were considered during the design process to ensure the electrical 18V battery is housed safely. Due to the additive manufacturing process, precise accuracy was achieved when applying the surface finish.

Bosch came to 3T with a prototype opportunity. The aim of the piece was to ensure lightweight, optimal balance and ergonimics was all possible with their design. 3T built one of the housings using their EOS P390 polymer machines. Nylon PA2200 was the chosen material due to its durability for extensive field use of the mechanical components.

Once built, the compartment was finished in house by our skilled hand finishers. Incorporating the intricacy of the finishing was all possible due to the additive manufacturing process. Text was added to the sides and a gloss pannel was created.
