modelling during the winter months and the finished
product is now live, though it may take up to 24 hours
to reach all servers. Please let us know if you notice

Cork Sports Partnership Awards The Cork Senior Footballers were recently presented
with the Special Recognition Award at the Cork Sports
Partnership Annual Awards ceremony held in the
Vertigo Suite at County Hall. MC for the event was John
McHale, and the speakers included Ted Owens and

Cork v Clare at Passage The Passage GAA club

County Board Report Transfers were the
main item on the
agenda for the County
Board Meeting of
February 8th, and an
updated list will be
published in due
course. Votes were
taken on the GPA
protocol and the
retention of the inter-
provincial
championships, with
both proposals
passed. It was
announced that draws
for the County Junior
B Championships will
be made at the next
meeting. Denis
Harrington, Donal
McSweeney, Jim
Hanley and Dan
Warren were elected
to the Executive.
Cork GAA Coaching Conference The first Cork GAA Coaching Conference was held in
C.I.T. on Saturday last.
Despite the inclement weather, a capacity crowd of 250
coaches attended on the day.
The opening session was a most informative talk from
Donal Og Cusack on his take on modern day coaching.
It paved the way for an excellent questions and
answers session thereafter.
Mark McManus, physical conditioning coach with the
Cork senior hurlers, gave a presentation on the
physical development of players. For full details, see

John Morrison addresses delegates at the Coaching Conference
Minor Board Officers Honoured At a recent function in Rochestown Park Hotel, outgoing
and former officers of the County Minor Board were
honoured for their contribution to Cork GAA. As part of
the Cork GAA Strategic Vision and Action Plan, the Minor
Board and County Juvenile Boards are being replaced
for a two-year trial period by Coiste na nOg in a move
designed to streamline underage matters across the
county. Pictured below are officer of the County Board
together with officers of the inaugural Minor Board.

Coiste na nOg Update Transfers: Transfers for players eligible for Under 16
and younger will be accepted until Monday 28th
February. For the 2011 season only, applications
received after that date will be deemed late.
Feile Hurling 2011: Cork will have only one
representative in this competition for 2011. The Cork
Feile Competition will commence on 3rd April with a
winner to be known by the 6th May 2011.
Coiste na nÓg will accommodate a ‘B’ Feile, which will
be run in conjunction with the Féile Qualifier, also
commencing on 3rd April.
Féile Peil: Because of a direct clash with the Munster
Football Final on Sunday 3rd July 2011, this year’s Féile
Peil, which is being hosted in Cork, will now take place
from Thursday 30th June with Finals on the Saturday
2nd July.
A Feile Football Blitz is scheduled for early June, over 2
weekends, prior to the Feile.
Affiliation forms for 2011 are currently with all club and
a return date of 21adh Feabhra in place.
Gradings: The Grading Committee will submit football
gradings to Coiste na nOg on Wednesday, February 9th
and it is expected that competitions will start by
February 26th.

Harty Cup Final Congratulations to
Charleville CBS,
who reached the Dr.
Harty Cup Final for
the first time in 38
years with victory
over Templemore last
Sunday.
They now meet
Ardscoil Rís of
Limerick in the final,
which will be played
on Sunday,
February 27th at a
venue and time to be
announced.
We wish them well as
they continue the
proud tradition of
Cork schools in this
prestigious
competition.

Crowley/Tom Creedon These competitions
are progressing well,
with the Tadhg
Crowley Cup Final
fixed for Feb 20th in
Clonakilty, while the
Tom Creedon Final
takes place in
