SITUATIONNetheravon House is situated in a lovely elevated position principally facingsouth and east with attractive views over the River Avon. DESCRIPTIONNetheravon House is a most handsome Georgian Country house which isbelieved to date from about 1734. It was originally built as a large villa andhunting box for Henry Somerset, the 3rd Duke of Beaufort. It is believed tohave been extended in about 1791 by Sir John Soane and carries hisattractive influences. The house is Grade 11* Listed as being of SpecialArchitectural and Historic Importance. It is built of mellow red brick under atiled roof with a classical Georgian facade and central front door flanked byan Ionic portico. The property is attached at the rear, although this part ofthe house is approached from the north, giving privacy to NetheravonHouse.

Internally the house is beautifully laid out and there is an immediate sense ofspace and light from the extremely well proportioned rooms. The ownershave carried out an extensive renovation programme, including all theservices and the house now presents immaculately.
