Welcome to the initial Nehemiah Network Newsletter!
The Nehemiah Network has a legacy of uniting the Church around
community service and outreach. Our desire was that as churches
gathered together to serve and share the light, the light of the service
of individual churches when gathered together would serve as a bea-
con to the community, of the tangible love of Jesus. The natural ex-
tension of the church’s service to the community is to connect
churches and Christian ministries to not only meet needs during
planned seasons of service, but also to meet the needs of those in the
community on a regular
and consistent basis. The
Nehemiah Network is
pleased to be partnering
with churches and minis-
tries of the community to
provide state of the art
technology that allows
members to volunteer
and serve as they are led
and called. We believe that the ability to connect those in need with
those who have the ability to serve on a real-time basis, will change
how the church responds, and in a way similar to the church’s
beginning in Acts.
We connect with churches in Central Arkansas and want to share
how God is working in our communities. Pastors and Christian lead-
ers are uniting to pray, serve and work together to advance God’s
Kingdom. Congregations and believers are coming together to dem-
onstrate the love of Jesus to those in need, and sharing the Good
News in their daily lives. “Living as the body of Christ” is occurring
whether they are members of a large or small congregation, whether
they meet within four walls on Sunday, or in a neighborhood, place of
work, or small group throughout the week.
It is especially encouraging that there is a growing spiritual revival in
our community. Not only are
pastors gathering to pray on a
monthly basis, but believers from
many churches are coming
together for community-wide
Evenings of Prayer. These
evenings of prayer, praise and
worship have been held in (Continued on page 2)

pastors and Christian marketplace leaders uniting and
strengthening the Church in Central Arkansas to live
and serve as The body of Christ in our community.
hosting a seminar, Called to
Teach, sponsored by several
churches. This workshop is
designed to encourage teach-
ers in the community to ef-
fectively share and rely on
their faith in a school setting.
Additionally, those who at-
tend will receive a certificate
for continuing education
credit.
The Nehemiah Network also
sponsored a research project
investigating church and
ministry involvement and
impact in K-5 Education. The
focus of the research was
how churches and believers
can, and are, having an im-
pact on literacy and reading
at grade level. The Phase 1
findings are shared on the
Initiatives page of our web-
site. Phase 2 will explore
how churches might imple-
ment the effective practices
that were identified.

Through our connection with
church pastors, we are also
learning how God is moving in
their congregations. Through
these relationships, common
ministry directions, church
needs and community service
initiatives have surfaced. The
Nehemiah Network has made
the commitment to support
those initiatives based on the
capacity of our resources.
One such initiative is in the
area of Education. Currently,
we have two efforts involving
Education. The Network is
September, November, March, May and July with 200 to 900 joining together to pray for our community and the Church.
You, and all in the community, are invited to the upcoming Evenings of Prayer planned for September 8th and November
17th.
Joy is when you have the assurance that you are working in concert with God’s will. What is apparent is that God is work-
ing in our community, and our churches are seeking His will and working alongside Him. Please visit our website and like
our page, Nehemiah Network, on Facebook to stay connected as we share how the Church in Central Arkansas is living as
the body of Christ.
