Pre primary children celebrated Diwali festival with great enthusiasm on November 1, 2018. They came dressed in traditional outfits. They listened to the story of Ramayan and did different activities. A skit on Ramayan was also performed by the Sr. Kg students on this occasion. The children spoke about Lord Ram and shared information on Diwali.

Pre Primary children celebrated Children’s Day on November 14, 2018 with great zeal and enthusiasm. The teachers and children remembered Pandit Jawarharlal Nehru, our first Prime Minister, and celebrated the love that he had for all the children with a host of fun-filled activities. The children were shown a short presentation on ‘Chacha Nehru’. A puppet show on the story of “Goldilocks and the Three Bears” was organized for the children. The children enjoyed a lot watching the puppet show. There was excitement in the air and they were delighted to take a token of love presented by their teachers back home.

Colours always fascinate us, so is the colour Purple. Purple combines the calm stability of blue and the fierce energy of red. This colour is associated with royalty, power, and ambition. Purple colour represents the future, the imagination and dreams. Nursery children celebrated ‘Purple Day’ on November 22, 2018 as an introduction to colour purple. All the teachers and children came dressed up in different shades of purple colour. The classrooms were beautifully decorated with purple coloured objects. The children were showed different coloured objects and asked to name the objects which were purple in colour. The purple colour was reiterated through different activities. Through these activities they learnt its significance and developed their fine motor skills. The children thoroughly enjoyed their practical learning experience.

A show and tell activity was conducted for Nursery class on November 28, 2018 where children brought their favourite farm animal and spoke a few lines about it.

An introduction to ‘Farm Animals’ was done with the Nursery children. Children came dressed as their favourite farm animal on November 30, 2018 and sang a rhyme related to it.

Traditional Day was celebrated on November 2nd.This day gives the children and teachers a chance to come together and celebrate Diwali. Everyone is dressed up in traditional attires which creates a sense of festivity and joyfulness. The children and teachers enjoy doing Diwali oriented activities such as Rangoli, decorating toran, making laddus, decorating diyas etc. the classroom resonate with laughter as everyone is busy with one of the many activities and their presentations.

An Interclass English Recitation Competition was organized for Grade I on Saturday, November 24, 2018. Children enjoyed the beauty of rhyme, rhythm and expressions with the variety of topics like- ‘Halloween’, ‘Nature’ and ‘Christmas’. The children participated confidently and presented poems with full zest and exuberance. It was a fun-filled event where the students also learned the importance of team work and coordination.

The Club Activity for Grade I was held on November 24, 2018. The theme of the club was winters. The ‘Creative Club’ involved the children in a fun activity by making a snowman using socks. In ‘Science and Math Club’ children enthusiastically learnt through experiment that even light objects like paper clip can float on water due to surface tension. They also enjoyed the interesting math activity of making a square out of two circles. The ‘Life Skill Club’ started with a rhyme on winters. Children were guided on how to take care in winters - what to wear and what to eat in winters. A colouring sheet on the same was done in the class. In ‘Speech and Debate’ club the activity began with a speaking where children prepared on their favourite Christmas story. At the end they drew and coloured the Christmas symbols in the scrap book. The ‘Cookery Club’ turned out to be a real fun activity for kids and teachers alike. Teachers helped kids in making yummy snowman cup cake and healthy fruit chat. The focus of the cookery class was to teach kids to prepare healthy and delicious food in a fun environment. In ‘Literary Club’ children watched stories based on winter season followed by a discussion about winter season, cloths we wear, food, different activities, places to visit in winter season. At the end a worksheet was done on the same.

As a part of out source activity a class picnic was arranged for the students of Grade I on the Tuesday, November 27, 2018. Students were all set to have a fantastic day-out with their friends and teachers. The travel gave some personal time for the students to be with their friends reaching the ‘Base Camp’’. A perfect breakfast was awaiting. Students were then accompanied by their trainers who made them do activities like rope walking, wall climbing, zip line, tractor ride, camel cart ride, pottery etc. The students were served with delicious lunch at the right interval and the special day ended with lot of joy & laughter.

A speaking activity was organized for the students of Grade I on their favorite toys and games in the last week of November, 2018. The purpose of the activity was to inculcate the proper usage of Hindi vocabulary and to strengthen correct sentence formation. Many of the children had also brought their toys to present to the class as they spoke about it. It was a fun filled activity.

Grade I celebrated Children’s Day to rejoice the awareness of care and education of children. Various interesting activities were organized like card and rose making, as a welcome activity. Students enjoyed every activity scattered for them during the day.

A Math Fair was organized for Grade 2 from November 26th -30th. A week-long fun filled Mathematical games were designed based on topics covered in curriculum. It aims to enhance the mental calculations skills of children. The class was divided into teams on the names of famous Mathematicians. They enjoyed playing games like Tik tik-clock clock, Hopscotch, Math Relay and Counter Reflection which involved co-ordination and team work besides mathematical skills. Winners were awarded with badges and applauds. It was a great learning experience for the children.

Pre-diwali celebration was held for students of Grade II in the form of Traditional Day on November 2. Students came dressed in traditional attire and participated in many festivities to make this day memorable.

Grade II celebrated Children’s Day, the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India. Many fun-filled activities were conducted along with showing knowledge enhancing videos related to Children’s Day.

The students of Grade 2B celebrated the festival of Navratri with lot of excitement and fervour. It marks the beginning of devotional and spiritual jubilation of renowned festivals of Dussehra and Diwali. A beautiful skit followed by the dance and music extravaganza enlightened the festive aura in school.

‘The colour of springtime is in flowers; the colour of winter is in our imagination.’ Grade II held another successful string of Club meetings on Saturday, November 24, 2018 to bring in the winter season. Cookery Club brightened the cold winters with a colourful preparation of sweet corn chaat, fresh fruit cream cookies and yummy appy fruity drink. Life Skills Club held lessons on table manners & relevant etiquette along with creative ways of folding napkins. Literary Club students learnt and composed acrostic poems based on the theme. Creative Art Club students made wool art of beautiful butterflies, stars and trees. Speech & Debate Club held a debate presentation for its students on topics such as ‘for and against extravagant spending during festivals, etc’. Math & Science Club demonstrated ‘hot & cold water’ experiments along with solving time and multiplication worksheets.

Grade II went on an educational field trip to see the physical features of Rajasthan. Children were excited to see the Aravallis with grand forts build on them and the splendid Man Sagar Lake with beautiful monuments around it.

“Mathematics, more than any other art or science, is a young man’s game”. The onset of the last week of November multiplied the zeal and fervour of Grade II students with the addition of another successful string of Math Fair. The students reacted enthusiastically when Team Aryabhatta conducted Hopscotch. There was further enhancement in their spirits with the Bongo game under Team Newton. Counter reflection led by team Shakuntala Devi left the other teams scratching their brain. The search for numbers grew wilder when Treasure Hunt under Team Ramanujan was conducted. Team Einstein added spice to the Fair with the smooth conduction of Snakes and Ladders. The Math Relay race under the supervision of teachers ended the fair with a revival towards the approach and perspective of Mathematics.

Extempore Activity for Grade II was held on Saturday, November 24, 2018. The students showcased their ability to speak at the spur of the moment. They got a wonderful chance to hone their public speaking skills when they chose their topics and presented their thoughts to the audience present.

Music is the strongest form of magic. The students of Grade II spread the magic by singing some of the all time favourite melodies like Uthe Sab Ke Kadam, Ruk Jana Nahi and many more for the vocal music competition on November 30, 2018. They not only enjoyed singing but also learnt to appreciate music. Their enthralling performance made the competition a grand success.

The 17th Annual Sports Day for grades 2-5 was organised on 24th of November. The day was an affirmation that sports always have a special place in the curriculum and students are motivated and encouraged to participate. It was a successful event where all the participants put up an excellent display of sportsman spirit, healthy competition and discipline. A magnificent Yoga display and well coordinated Drill stole away thunders of applause. There were a variety of task races, sprints, relays for the children. The winners took away their medals and those who couldn’t, went home with a promise to come back with more zeal and enthusiasm.

A declamation competition was organized for the students of grade III, held on 24 November, 2018. The students presented their talent of delivering a speech by expressing strong feelings and opinions. The children dramatically orated the speeches of known personalities like Subroto Bagchi, Bill Gates, Swami Vivekanand etc. through articulation, emphasis and gestured the full sense of the speech.

The Annual Sports Meet for Grade IV students was held on November 29, 2018. The students participated with great zeal and true sportsman spirit. The students displayed an energizing drill and set the tone for the rest of the events: Sprints, Obstacle Race, Skipping race etc. Relay races were the fields in which the young athletes completed.

The students of grade IV and V organized the Bake Sale on the 19th of November 2018 which was a huge success. Pani-puri, Kurkure chat, Chinese-bhel, Strawberry cupcakes, Mini-muffins, Oreo kit-kat milkshake prepared by tiny hands brought smiles to their faces. A high-level of participation and remarkable collaboration nurtured confidence, team-work and dedication in the young entrepreneurs.

Grade 5 went for a picnic to Rocksport Academy. The place was full of exciting and adventurous squadron activities like zip lining, balance beam, laser beam, alpha cross, commando net, gorilla cave, camel ride, DJ floor, to name a few. All these activities were specially designed for the kids and urged them to test their physical and mental strength. They had a fun packed day along with the entire thrill. It was an exhilarating day and will be remembered for long.

Giving is not just about making a donation. It is about making a difference. Students of Grade VI demonstrated compassion towards the less fortunate section of our society by donating toothpaste and toothbrush to promote dental hygiene.

Student of Neerja Modi School, Shivanshi Shivastava won prize in State Level Painting Competition organized by Ministry of Power Government of India. She rewarded with cash Prize and a gift hamper.

Neerja Modi School Senior and Junior (Boys & Girls) Football Team won the final match of Reliance Youth Sports Tournament 2018 organised by Reliance Foundation. Winners were awarded with different titled trophies, Medals and Prize money of Rupees 25 thousand in each category. Siddharth choudhary got Golden Boot Award. Shivansh pathania got Golden Gloves Award. Naina Mukhija got Golden Ball and Golden Boot Award, Mohd. Adil Gour got Golden Boot Award and Manhan Shyamdasani got Golden Ball Award.Both the teams are now qualified to play in next Zonal Round which will held in Lucknow & Chandigarh soon.
