Programs and Services Our services are for residents of N.D.G and Montreal West. Some services have health, income and/or age related criteria. Information and Referral We assist seniors in obtaining the information that they require. Every effort is made to connect them to the best resources to respond to their needs and to explain the process of accessing government and private services. Day Away A social and recreational program which offers frail older people a day of stimulating activities and companionship. Transportation is provided and assistance is tailored to individual needs. Income Tax Clinic Trained volunteers assist in the preparation and filing of returns. A home service is offered for people who cannot attend clinics on the premises. Action Transport We offer transportation to medical appointments for older adults who cannot use public transportation. Education on topics related to housing rights, affordable and healthy eating, self- esteem, budgeting and legal issues are included with a meal that is prepared collectively. Participation and engagement play an integral role and everyone is encouraged to get involved. Boomer Café The Boomer Café is a Drop-in Center designed to give boomers the opportunity to meet and connect with others, learn new skills and find collective solutions to issues they are facing. Computers and access to the internet are offered free of charge. The Boomer Café is a joint initiative with the NDG Food Depot. Programmes et services Nos services sont destinés aux résidents de N.D.G. et de Montréal-Ouest. Certains services traitent de quelques aspects des revenus, de la santé et de l’âge.

Information et orientation Nous aidons les personnes âgées à obtenir l’information dont elles ont besoin. Tous les efforts sont déployées pour leur fournir les meilleures ressources qui existent afi n de répondre à leurs besoins et leur expliquer les démarches à suivre pour accéder aux services gouvernementales et aux services privés.

Programme de jour Un programme social de loisirs qui propose aux personnes agées une journée d’activités stimulantes et de camaraderie. Le transport et de l’aide personnalisée sont fournis en fonction des besoins de personnes.

Clinique d’impôt Des bénévoles qualifi és aident à la préparation des déclarations de revenus. Un service à domicile est proposé aux personnes qui ne peuvent pas se rendre aux cliniques dans nos locaux.

Action Transport Nous offrons le transport au rendez-vous médicaux et aux traitements pour les personnes qui ne peuvent pas utiliser les transports publics.

Groupes de soutien Des groupe de soutien sont offerts sur une base occasionnelle.

Le CAANDG

Depuis 1974, le CAANDG rassemble ceux et celles pour qui l’amélioration de la qualité de vie des aînés de N.D.G. et de Montréal-Ouest est une priorité.

Le CAANDG est ouvert à l’engagement de toutes et de tous selon leurs talents et capacités. Des vies sont transformées et ces personnes découvrent un nombre infi ni de moyens de contribuer, à leur façon, à la vie des autres. Nous sommes au service des personnes en quête d’appartenance et de compassion.

Un endroit exceptionnel pour les bénévoles de tous les âges

Les bénévoles sont la pierre angulaire du CAANDG et ils participent à chaque aspect de son fonctionnement. Nous faisons tout notre possible pour veiller à ce qu’ils s’impliquent dans les domaines qui les intéressent et que leur expérience soit gratifi ante.

Boomer connections Le CAANDG, en partenariat avec le Dépôt alimentaire NDG, anime des rencontres qui fournissent une occasion d’apprentissage et de partage. Chaque mois des ateliers sont offerts comme moyen d’éducation sur des sujets liés au droit du logement, de l’alimentation équilibré et abordable, l’estime de soi, comment faire un budget et les lois juridiques. La participation et l’engagement jouent un rôle essentiel et tout le monde est encouragé à s’impliquer.

Le Café Boomer Un centre « drop in » conçu pour donner aux « baby boomers » l’occasion de rencontrer et communiquer avec d’autres, d’apprendre de nouvelles compétences et à trouver des solutions collectives aux problèmes auxquels ils sont confrontés. L’accès aux ordinateurs et à l’internet sont offerts gratuitement. Le Café boomer est une initiative de partenariat entre le CAANDG et le Dépot alimentaire NDG.

Le projet de partage de meubles Le CAANDG a acquis une unité d’entrepôt hors site pour remiser les dons d’effets personnels pour les personnes à qui ils manquent des biens essentiels.

Défense des droits Nous intervenons au nom des individus âgées de 50 ans et plus qui rencontrent des obstacles dans divers domaines : logement, fi nances, accès aux services de santé ou diffi cultés interpersonnelles.

Action CollectiveNous encourageons les citoyens de plus de 50 ans de s’impliquer localement ou de faire partie des regroupements pour contribuer aux changements sociaux.
