The dates in this calendar reflect the application of NCAA Division II Bylaw 13.17.2 at the time of publication but are subject to change per NCAA Constitution 5.2.3.1 or if certain dates (e.g., National Letter of Intent signing dates) are altered. (a) June 1-14, 2020: Quiet Period (b) June 15 through August 1, 2020: Evaluation Period (c) August 2 through September 6, 2020: Quiet Period (d) September 7 through October 14, 2020: Contact Period (e) October 15, 2020, to the date of the prospective student-

athlete’s initial high school or two-year college contest:

EVALUATION PERIOD

An evaluation period is that period of time when it is per-missible for authorized athletics department staff members to be involved in off-campus activities designed to assess the academic qualifications and playing ability of prospective student-athletes. No in-person, off-campus recruiting contacts shall be made with the prospec-tive student-athlete during an evaluation period.

DEAD PERIOD

A dead period is that period of time when it is not permissible to make in-person recruiting con-tacts or evaluations on or off the member institution’s campus or to permit official or unofficial visits by prospective student-athletes to the institution’s campus.

A contact period is that period of time when it is permissible for authorized athletics depart-ment staff members to make in-person, off-campus recruiting contacts and evaluations.

CONTACT PERIOD

QUIET PERIOD

A quiet period is that period of time when it is permissible to make in-person recruiting contacts only on the member in-stitution’s campus. No in-person, off-campus recruiting contacts or evaluations may be made during the quiet period.

• Oct. 15, 2020, to the date of the recruit’s initial high school or two-year college contest.

• Period between the recruit’s initial and final high school or two-year college contest.• During any high school all-star game within the state of the college.

DEAD PERIOD

• The dead period is from Nov. 9 at 7 a.m. through Nov. 11 at 7 a.m.

• The dead period beginning April 1 will continue through noon on April 7.
