Please find below the tentative lists of qualified/ eligible candidates in respect of all the five ME M odular

Programmes. The lists have been prepared as per th e applications (alongwith the documents submitted b y the

candidates) and the admission criteria of the insti tute (available at institute website). The admissi on granted to the

candidates at the time of counseling is PURELY PROV ISIONAL subject to approval by the Panjab University,

Chandigarh and fulfilling the requisite formalities and producing the original certificates of qualifi cations,

experience and sponsorship at the time of counselin g. All the eligible candidates are requested to att end the

counseling at their OWN EXPENSES and be present at 10.00AM for the counseling on Friday, 29.05.2015 at the

institute as per detail given below:

The successful candidates upon admission will be re quired to deposit the requisite fee on 29.05.2015 (and not la ter than

02.06.2015 upto 3.00PM) and deposit all Original Do cuments (Degree certificate, DMCs, Experience certi ficates, Xth

certificate, SC/ST/OBC certificates, migration cert ificate etc.) for onward submission to Panjab Unive rsity, Chandigarh

(for verification), as notified in our Institute website/prospectus, f ailing which the seats will be offered to the next

candidates as per next qualifying Waiting list prep ared on the day of counseling. Candidates failing to report for

counseling on Friday, 29 th May, 2015 will forfeit the claim for admission. As notified the classes will commence from 07 th

June, 2015. Second counseling, if any, for waitlist ing candidates will be held on 5 th June, 2015 at 10.00AM.

For Kind Attention of Candidates under OBC category

Candidates who have applied for seeking admission to ME Modular Progra mmes under OBC

cateogy are required to furnish affidavit from Executive M agistrate at the time of counseling

that he/she belongs to OBC category (For an updated list of state- wise OBCs eligible for

availing the benefit of reservation, please see the lis t maintained by NCBC at its website:

layer (as per website http://ncbc.nic.in/html/creamylayer.html as well as the clarifications

issued by the Department of Personnel & Training on the definiti on of creamy layer & income

2005.htm. )

As per directions received from MHRD, the institute is impl ementing CEI Act, 2006, i.e., Policy of Reservation of 27% seats for the OBCs. However, the number of seats for the General Category will remain the same. For the year 2015–16, T otal No. of seats in each of ME (Modular) Programmes (for sponsored Polytechnics/Engineering Colleges regular teachers, officials of Directorates and Boards of Technical Education, universities and officials/staff of NITTTRs) are 40. Out of 40 seats, 6 seats are reserved for Scheduled Ca ste candidates, 3 seats for Scheduled Tribe candidates, 1 seat for Physically Handicapped candida tes, 11 seats for OBC candidates and remaining 19 seats are for General category teachers. However, vacant seats, if any, under sponsored teacher category candidates in all ME (Modular) programm es will be filled up from amongst corresponding eligible sponsored candidates from industry and other organizations.

ME Mechanical Engineering (Manufacturing Technology ) Modular Programme - 2015

List of Qualified/Eligible candidates

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE FOR ADMISSION A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engg/Manufacturing Technology/Production Engg./Industrial Engg./Automobile Engineering from a recognized University or its equivalent with at least 60% of marks in aggregate and post qualification experience of atleast 1 year (2 years in case of AMIE) in teaching/industry/research organization.

Total numbers of seats in the ME Mechanical Engineering (Manufacturing Technology ) Modular Programme are 40 for sponsored Polytechnic/Engineering College Regular teachers, officials of Directorates and Boards of Technical Education, Universities and officials/staff of NITTTRs. However, vacant seats, if any, under sponsored teacher category candidates in ME (Modular) programme will be filled up from amongst corresponding eligible sponsored candidates from industry and other organizations.

Reservation

15% seats are reserved for SC candidates, 7.5% seats for ST candidates, 3% for disabled candidates and 27% for OBC candidates. Out of 40 seats, 06 seats are reserved for SC, 03 seats for ST, 01 seat for disabled and 11 seats for OBC candidates.

PREPARATION OF MERIT LIST

Sponsored Candidates The Institute prepares a merit list of all sponsored eligible candidates based on the aggregate percentage of marks obtained in all the semesters/years of qualifying examination and the total experience. The admission is granted to candidates strictly according to the merit list, prepared as follows:

(i) Qualification Multiplying Factor % of marks in BE or its equivalent X 0.4

(ii) Experience One score for each number of completed years of total experience on the last day of receiving application gained after obtaining minimum entry qualification subject to a maximum of ten. Note: The total score calculated based on qualifications and experience as mentioned in (i) and (ii) above should not be less than 25.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE FOR ADMISSION A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or its equivalent with at least 60% of marks in aggregate and post qualification experience of atleast 1 year (2 years in case of AMIE) in teaching/industry/research organization. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE FOR ADMISSION A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science & Engineering/Electronics Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering/Information Technology from a recognized University or its equivalent with at least 60% of marks in aggregate and post qualification experience of atleast 1 year (2 years in case of AMIE) in teaching/industry/research organization Total number of seats in the ME Computer Science and Engineering (Modular) Progr amme are 40 for sponsored Polytechnic/Engineering College Regular teachers, officials of Directorates and Boards of Technical Education, Universities and officials/staff of NITTTRs. However, vacant seats, if any, under sponsored teacher category candidates in ME (Modular) programme will be filled up from amongst corresponding eligible sponsored candidates from industry and other organizations.

Reservation 15% seats are reserved for SC candidates, 7.5% seats for ST candidates, 3% for disabled candidates and 27% for OBC candidates. Out of 40 seats, 06 seats are reserved for SC, 03 seats for ST, 01 seat for disabled and 11 seats for OBC candidates. PREPARATION OF MERIT LIST

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE FOR ADMISSION

A Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from a recognized University or its equivalent with at least 60% of marks in aggregate and post qualification experience of atleast 1 year (2 years in case of AMIE) in teaching/industry/research organization.

Total number of seats in the ME Electronics and Communication (Modular) Programme are 40 for sponsored Polytechnic/Engineering College Regular teachers, officials of Directorates and Boards of Technical Education, Universities and officials/staff of NITTTRs. However, vacant seats, if any, under sponsored teacher category candidates in ME (Modular) programme will be filled up from amongst corresponding eligible sponsored candidates from industry and other organizations.


Sponsored Candidates The Institute prepares a merit list of all sponsored eligible candidates based on the aggregate percentage of marks obtained in all the semesters/years of qualifying examination and the total experience. The admission is granted to candidates strictly according to the merit list, prepared as follows: (i) Qualification Multiplying Factor (a) % of marks in BE or its equivalent X 0.4 (ii) Experience One score for each number of completed years of total experience on the last day of receiving application gained after obtaining minimum entry qualification subject to a maximum of ten. Note: The total score calculated based on qualifications and experience as mentioned in (i) and (ii) above should not be less than 25.
