Some of the changes include: External providers (counsellors, therapists) are able to be onsite, as long as they adhere to hygiene, distancing and safety protocols. There is a form in the office for all providers to complete each time they come onsite. We are able to have short school assemblies, unfortunately parents are still not able to attend. Choirs may recommence their programs. Operation of the Nabiac PS canteen and uniform shop will continue with the current arrangements until the end of Term 2. The canteen is open for orders only for the morning break – no over the counter sales. Orders for the uniform shop can be left at the front office. Parents/carers are still requested to remain outside the school grounds. We appreciate your co-operation with this arrangement. There are plans for further restrictions to be lifted from the beginning of Term 3 if the incidence of COVID-19 continues to reduce. We will keep you informed with what this looks like at Nabiac PS as these changes come into play. Students have been presenting their speeches in class over the past few weeks as part of our public speaking program. This week our Stage 2 finalists will present their speeches to a short assembly. Stage 3 speeches will be presented in Week 9. Public speaking is an important skill for all our students to develop confidence in and we wish our finalists the best of luck. Students in Years 4 – 6 will complete the Tell Them From Me survey this week. The survey will provide us with valuable information on what they think about school life, how engaged they are with school and the different ways that teachers interact with them. The information we gained from these surveys last year was a valuable source of data that was considered in evaluating our strategic directions for our school plan. This will be very important this year as we move into a new school planning cycle. Message from the Principal… Dear Parents and Carers

As you may have seen in the media over the weekend, there has been further relaxing of

restrictions for NSW public schools. Some of the changes include:

External providers (counsellors, therapists) are able to be onsite, as long as they

adhere to hygiene, distancing and safety protocols. There is a form in the office for

all providers to complete each time they come onsite.

We are able to have short school assemblies, unfortunately parents are still not able

to attend.

Choirs may recommence their programs.

Operation of the Nabiac PS canteen and uniform shop will continue with the current

arrangements until the end of Term 2. The canteen is open for orders only for the

morning break – no over the counter sales. Orders for the uniform shop can be left at

the front office.

Parents/carers are still requested to remain outside the school grounds. We

appreciate your co-operation with this arrangement.

There are plans for further restrictions to be lifted from the beginning of Term 3 if the

incidence of COVID-19 continues to reduce. We will keep you informed with what this looks

like at Nabiac PS as these changes come into play.

Students have been presenting their speeches in class over the past few weeks as part of our

public speaking program. This week our Stage 2 finalists will present their speeches to a short

assembly. Stage 3 speeches will be presented in Week 9. Public speaking is an important skill

for all our students to develop confidence in and we wish our finalists the best of luck.

Students in Years 4 – 6 will complete the Tell Them From Me survey this week. The survey will

provide us with valuable information on what they think about school life, how engaged they

are with school and the different ways that teachers interact with them. The information we

gained from these surveys last year was a valuable source of data that was considered in

evaluating our strategic directions for our school plan. This will be very important this year as

we move into a new school planning cycle.
