Education Week We would like to invite all parents & carers, family & friends to

attend our Education Week Assembly next week. Education

Week is a chance for the school community to recognise a staff

member, student, volunteer and School Program that is worthy

of an Education Week Award. The assembly will be held on

Thursday 9th August 2018 at 1pm in the School Hall. The

choir and classes will be performing an item after the

presentation of awards.

The staff and students of Nabiac Public School have been working hard to make our extravaganza “We’re all Little Aussies!” amazing for you. Your child will perform at the matinee on Thursday 9th August 2018 at 1pm in the school hall after the presentation of the Education Week awards. Then, at 6.30pm we invite all parents and families who were unable to attend the day time assembly to come to the evening performance. The evening performance will not include the Education Week Awards. We ask that you bring your child to school at 6pm to their classrooms to get ready. The performance will commence at 6.30pm. Attached to the newsletter is a note to indicate attendance for the evening performance. It is really important to return the note as soon as possible to allow teachers to finalise the roles or parts for your child and position them on stage. Costumes must be at school by Monday 6th August for our dress rehearsal. We hope you can join us for this special occasion.

Newsletter Term 3, Week 2 30th July 2018

Anti-Bullying This term all classes are involved in Anti-bullying lessons. There is a commitment from the school to support and encourage all students to live up to our core values of Respect, Responsibility and Care and also adhere to the NSW Department of Education Behaviour Code for Students. Please see information sheet on the back page for parents and carers. Year 7 2019 Attention Year 6 parents, if you child is going to Tuncurry Campus next year, an information evening will be held at the college this Tuesday, 31st July at 6pm. P&C Meeting Our next meeting will be held on Monday 6th August in the school staffroom. All parents and carers are invited and welcome to attend. SRC Instructions on how to order were sent home on the last day of term. Order envelopes are available at the office. Photos are $16 each. Discounts are available for families if ordering more than one photo. All orders must be made by 24th August.

Message from the Principal…

This will certainly be a busy week here at Nabiac PS with lots of preparations underway for

Education Week which is just one week away. Rehearsals are underway for our annual

Education Week assembly and performance. Our zone athletes are preparing to compete at

the Zone Athletics Carnival in Tuncurry next Wednesday. Wednesday is also the Great Lakes

Learning Community Academic Assembly at which some of our students will be receiving

awards. Next week will provide opportunities for all our students to shine. I am sure you are

looking forward to it just as much as I am!
