EDITOThis year has been successful and as it nears its end, we offer you rich and varied cultural events. An academic conference on the relations between the French West Indies and Ghana as well as the commemoration of November 11th, 1918. Also to take place is a Hip Hop dance show by Martinican choreographer David Milôme. Don't miss the big concert with the phenominal artist Wiyaala. Join us for a festive celebration on Saint Nicholas day with a family and Christmas party.On the other hand, Alliance Française Accra is undergoing some changes. With our new security equipment, we hope to ensure the safety of everyone and a new restaurant ''La Brasserie'' will satisfy all tastes with its French brasserie menu and a varied choice of pizzas.

L'automne avance et l'Alliance Française entame de grands changements.Un nouvel équipement de contrôle améliorera la sécurité de tous, tandis que le nouveau restaurant ''La Brasserie'' satisfera tous les goûts avec sa carte de brasserie française et de pizzas.Côté culture, un programme riche et varié : universitaire avec un colloque sur les relations entre les Antilles françaises et le Ghana, patrimonial avec la commémoration du 11 novembre, musical et dansant avec le spectacle de Hip Hop du chorégraphe martiniquais David Milôme ou le grand concert de l'artiste montante Wiyaala et même festif et familial avec une soirée de Noël le jour de

NWFF 2018 is the second edition of the festival. This year the NWFFchanged the target and focus of the festival by widening the net togreach out to women filmmakers worldwide. This 3 day festival willhighlight over 30 plus stories from all over the world. Films like “PotatoPotahto”, “Les Saignates” “Life of Esteban” will be shown. Specialguest film maker Jean-Pierre Bekolo will be available to share someinsights on the art of film-making.

Le Ndiva Women’’s Film Festival (NWFF) 2018 est la deuxième éditiondu festival. L’édition 2017 ciblait les femmes cinéastes africaines et lesfemmes cinéastes de descendance africaine. Cette année, le NWFF amodifié sa cible. Ce festival de 3 jours mettra en lumière plus de 30histoires du monde entier. Des films comme «Potato Potahto», «LesSaignates» mais aussi «Life of Esteban» seront projetés. Le talentueuxcinéaste Jean-Pierre Bekolo sera invité pour partager son expertisesur l’art de la réalisation de films.

In the wake of the symposium «Ghana and transatlantic diasporas», which has been a success in the public and academic arena, Institut Francais Ghana and Alliance Française Accra are organizing a seminar; «Ghana in the diasporas: Historic linkages between French Antilles and Ghana». Panelist for the seminar include distinguished personalities such as Moussa Traoré, Dominique Rogers and Esi Sutherland who will speak on the themes of African and Ghanaian diasporas as well as the phenomenon of «Returnees».Après le colloque “Ghana and transatlantic diasporas”, qui a été un succès à la fois public et académique, l’Institut français du Ghana et l’Alliance Française organisent un séminaire « Ghana in the diasporas : historic linkages between French Antilles and Ghana ». On November 11, 1918 at 5:15 the First World War ended, which lasted for four years, causing suffering and destruction in most of Europe and involving the whole world to different degrees. To mark this centenary, the French Embassy, the French Institute of Ghana and the Alliance Française are offering a commemorative evening around two films and an academic round table on the war in West Africa, accompanied by the exhibition «Clemenceau» of the Centenary Mission of the First World War.Le 11 novembre 1918 à 5h15 vit la fin de la Première guerre mondiale, entraînant souffrances et destructions dans la majeure partie de l’Europe et impliquant l’ensemble du monde à des degrés divers. Pour marquer ce centenaire, l’Ambassade de France, l’Institut Français du Ghana et l’Alliance Française proposent une soirée commémorative autour de deux films et d’une table ronde universitaire sur la guerre en Afrique de l’ouest, accompagnés de l’exposition « Clemenceau » de la Mission du centenaire de la Première guerre mondiale.

Last year Akan successfully released his debut album “Onipa Akoma” and won the hearts of many music lovers across the country, to promote the album, he embarked on a tour performing at venues in Accra and Kumasi, which ended successfully with new fans to his Akan “Abusua”. This year, he is crowning it all with a concert to celebrate the success of his project. Onipa Akoma Concert is a collaboration between A-Level Music and Alliance Française.

L’an dernier, Akan lançait son premier album intitulé “Onipa Akoma” et gagnait le cœur de nombreux mélomanes dans le pays. Afin de promouvoir son album, il s’était embarqué dans une tournée à Accra et Kumasi, qui s’était terminée avec succès et lui avait permis de conquérir le cœur de nouveaux fans. Cette année, il revient sur scène pour célébrer le succès de son projet.

This Oscar awarded movie catches the life, success and troubles of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and tells the story of his rivalry with Italian composer Antonio Salieri at the court of the Austrian Emperor Joseph II. To commemorate the legacy of the movie´s Czech born director, Mr. Milos Forman, who passed away earlier this year, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Accra invites you to the screening of this very masterpiece. Amadeus, a U.S. produced film, is also a tour to the streets of historical Prague, the Czech capital, accompanied by the tones of Mozart´s music.

A biannual 3-hour event that brings together fashion, poetry and live music blending colours, cadence to celebrate the evolution of style. Uniquely cut and stitched patterns stylized into leading-edge costumes by RIOHS Originate’s 4 months fashion design students will be cat walked by the Students themselves; the idea is to explore how the creatives “embody” their own art in full spirits of charisma to connect with the audience. The show is directed by Richard Ohene Sika, Talents Manager at Riohs Originate.

Cet événement biannuel de 3 heures rassemblera mode, poésie et musique, tout en mélangeant couleurs et cadences afin de célébrer l’évolution des styles.
